I doubt a two hour Netflix movie is going to go back that far. People are tuning in for the sex, not for the backstory.

It's his status as "other" that sets him off on his own road to fame and fortune. "Other" is in Jewish. "Other" as in being working class. Just getting a teaching gig at the Dalton School was a big deal for someone of that background, even if he did have the credentials.
