Who would you like to see immortalized in Trump's statue garden and theme park?

Who would you NOT want to see? Where should this be located? Who should pay for it? (Trump, naturally) What would you call it?

a.) John Waters B.) Antonin Scalia C.) Mar-a-lago poolside E.) Pile-O-Crapland

Obama, right over the gate. Not because he was a great president, because he’s smarter than trump and black, which would piss trump off.

Is this going to be instead of a presidential library? Good idea, because what would we put in a library for him? People joked about filling the George W. Bush presidential library with comic books, but that guy is like a Rhodes scholar compared to Trumpy.

Sinatra and Christa McAuliffe are on Trump's list. Neither belong there. Fine singer or not Frank was basically just an errand boy-court jester for the Chicago mob and Christa was only on the shuttle as an empty PR stunt to revive the public's lagging interest in NASA.

Perhaps substitute George M Cohen for Sinatra, and the brilliant and real astronaut Judith Resnik instead. Judy's last conscious act was to turn on the emergency oxygen for McAuliffe who was seated in front of her on Challenger. A quite extraordinary woman and scientist.

I would have selected Sally Ride before Judith Resnik, but both ladies were remarkable.

I think a Civil War Confederacy museum at one of the battlefields like Gettysburg or Bull Run would be great. Stick all the confederacy statues there and pattern it like the museums at Dachau and such. This was a painful period in American history, along with the lengthy aftermath. It should not be whitewashed or swept under the carpet.

On second thought, I vote for Andersonville as the location.

by Anonymousreply 43July 7, 2020 2:30 AM

My answers.

#2. " Do you approve of the President’s Executive Order to build a National Garden of American Heroes?" Yes, but only if there are rides.

#3. "How would you rate President Trump’s address at Mount Rushmore?" It was different. A bit sniffy. Cocaine? I'm hoping there won't be more of such. Maybe some tap dancers would help.

#9. "Where do you think the National Garden of American Heroes should be built?" Council Bluff, Iowa. It's in the center of the country, has access to the Omaha airport and needs the exposure.

#10. "Which Patriotic Americans do you want to see in the National Garden of American Heroes?" Viola Davis, Pia Zadora, Harriett Tubman, Jimmy Kimmel. Zippy the Pinhead. Helen Keller. Helen Hunt."

by Anonymousreply 44July 7, 2020 2:42 AM

Jeanette Rankin of course. There are no conservative women worthy of inclusion so a definite NO to Phyllis Schlafly. The garden should be at Camp David which should be decommissioned as a presidential retreat. It should be paid for with assets seized from Saudi Arabia. It should be called National Honor Park. .

They could have a ginormous animatronic orangutan that thrill seekers would enter through the mouth and navigate their way to Chocolateland, where said thrill seekers would be shot out of the rectum after being sprayed with watery fecal matter. The ride would be called the OrangoTango.

[quote]A potential new addition to President Trump’s future rallies: statues.

[quote]The idea has been discussed by White House and Trump campaign aides, but no final decision has been made, sources familiar with the planning told ABC News. It’s also not clear who exactly the statues would resemble, but sources say one idea was for “America’s Founding Fathers."
