I may be wrong but it looks like the service was held in the new sanctuary just across the street from the original Ebenezer Baptist Church. MLK Jr. was assassinated long before the new sanctuary was constructed, so the reports that the funeral was held in the church where MLK Jr. preached are not accurate.

White is a very old-school traditional option for mourning. The Queen Mother famously wore an all-white wardrobe to an official visit to Paris after losing a family member shortly before.

Why do Americans in general have to display the body like it's SHOWTIME?!! At funerals, they stand and stare and the next day talk about if they looked good or bad, fuck me it's a dead body, how do you think they should look? I would listen at work to everyone discussing the body, it is kind of sick if you ask me.
