Seyrig was hardly a "starlet" having played the lead in Resnais' LAST YEAR AT MARIENBAD.

While she is best known as a model, Ypir had bit parts in a few sixties films, most notably in the spaghetti western The Drifters of the Dustbowl (1964).

Catherine Spaak. She was a delightfully atrocious actress, but I always enjoy watching her onscreen.
And I love you for starting this thread, OP. I've always been fascinated by all those chicks, mainly because they all had such a short shelf life. I think most of them were wise enough to realize that and decided to retire young and find rich husbands for themselves instead.

Op isn’t making any distinction between European starlets and stars. Some of these performers had important careers in Europe but Hollywood didn’t know what to do with them.

I'm not OP but I would be more interested about hearing the names of lesser known or forgotten European starlets who didn't make it to Hollywood. I mean everyone has heard of Catherine Deneuve already .

One of the most gorgeous ones was Ida Galli. She had a bone structure to die for.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 22, 2020 8:10 PM |
And Miss Galli still looks fucking awesome, for someone who's almost 80.

R17, she looks like Krause Kinski.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 22, 2020 8:12 PM |
Klaus, not Krause.
