Meghan Markle’s BFF Threatens To Sue Black Woman

Meghan Markle’s BFF Jessica Mulroney (daughter-in-law of Canadian PM Brian Mulroney) is under fire after Canadian brand marketer and entrepreneur Sasha Exeter called Mulroney on her “white privilege” and threatening actions.

Exeter, who is Black, said in a nearly 12-minute video on Instagram Tuesday that Mulroney “took offence” at what Exeter described as a generic call to action she shared last week, as protests against police brutality and racism broke out across the world.

Exeter, a former athlete who runs the website SoSoSasha, said that she encouraged her peers and those with large online platforms to “use their voice for good and help combat the race war and what’s happening to the Black community.”

In response, Exeter said, Mulroney sent her “a threat in writing.”

“Unfortunately though, one very prominent Canadian figure, who used to be an acquaintance of mine, named Jessica Mulroney, took offence to a very generic call to action that I shared on my IG stories,” Exeter says in the video. “What happened next was a series of very problematic behaviour and antics that ultimately resulted in her sending me a threat in writing last Wednesday.”

Exeter said that she is “by no means calling Jess a racist,” but added that the Toronto-based stylist, who is married to former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney’s son, Ben, “is very well aware of her wealth, her perceived power and privilege because of the colour of her skin.”

“And that my friends gave her the momentary confidence to come for my livelihood in writing,” Exeter stated, shaking her head and calling it an example of “textbook white privilege.”

Exeter, who lives in Toronto, said that she takes issue with Mulroney for two reasons, the first being that the stylist hasn’t been using her voice to support the Black Lives Matter movement. Not only does Mulroney normally speak out about causes dear to her, Exeter pointed out that the Duchess of Sussex is “arguably one of the most famous Black women in the world.”

“During the span of about a week or so, Jessica basically ticked every single box of what a white woman should absolutely not do during the biggest racial uproar in history,” Exeter said.

Her second problem with Mulroney was that she “wrongly assumed” that Exeter’s social media callout was directed at her.

Exeter says that Mulroney blocked her and then wrote to her saying: “I have also spoken to companies and people about the way you have treated me unfairly. You think your voice matters. Well, it only matters if you express it with kindness and without shaming people who are simply trying to learn. Good luck.”

The entrepreneur said that it was mind-blowing that Mulroney would take such actions, and compared the stylist to Amy Cooper, the woman who recently called the cops on a Black birdwatcher in Central Park, telling the 911 dispatcher that she was being threatened by an “African-American man.”

“For her to threaten me ― a single mom, a single Black mom ― during a racial pandemic blows my mind,” Exeter added. “The goal here is genuine, transformative change ― not optical and performative bullshit. You cannot be posting that you stand in solidarity while attempting to silence somebody via text.”

Mulroney replied to Exeter’s video in an Instagram comment, though it appeared to have been deleted by Thursday afternoon.

“I know we have different experiences. And that is something that, even in the course of a heated argument, I need to acknowledge and understand,” the stylist said in her response. “I am unequivocally sorry for not doing that with you, and for any hurt I caused.”

Mulroney then alluded to her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex, who has repeatedly been the target of racist treatment.

“As I told you privately, I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and centre. It was deeply educational. I learned a lot from that,” she continued. “I promise to continue to learn and listen on how I can use my privilege to elevate and support black voices.”

Things didn’t end there, though; Exeter subsequently revealed that after Mulroney posted the public apology, she privately direct messaged her.

Exeter came with receipts, posting Mulroney’s message on her Instagram story on Thursday.

“Here’s what happens when you call out someone with privilege and wealth. They publicly apologize on your post to preserve their image while privately threaten a lawsuit to try and shut you up,” the SoSoSasha founder said, providing a photo of the message Mulroney sent her.

“Liable suit. Good luck,” Mulroney said in the DM, intending to write “libel.”

In a writing over a screenshot of her direct messages, Exeter wrote, “After her public apology on my post yesterday, I received this via DM. Please take in the time stamp in green on the top left of the screen. Also, poor thing didn’t even spell ‘libel’ correctly. Sigh.”

A few hours after Exeter came forward with the lawsuit threat, Mulroney again apologized in five separate Instagram stories to talk about her “disagreement” with the influencer.

“She rightfully called me out for not doing enough when it came to engaging in the important and difficult conversation about race and injustice in our society. I took it personally and that was wrong,” the stylist said. “I did not intent [SIC] to in any way jeopardize her livelihood. We had a disagreement and it got out of hand. For that I am sorry.”

She signed off by saying that she will be stepping back from her Instagram and letting Black voices take over her account, saying she had reached out to see if Exeter would also participate.

Later on Thursday, CTV, which airs Mulroney’s show “I Do, Redo,” announced it would be pulling the show from all its platforms.

“Recent conduct by one of our show hosts, Jessica Mulroney, conflicts with our commitment to diversity and equality,” the network wrote in a statement posted to social media.

In August 2019, Mulroney posted on Instagram in support of Markle, calling out “racist bullies.”

“3 years of undeserved hate and abuse. It’s enough,” Mulroney captioned her post at the time.

can you post a link to the source of all these quotes?

by Anonymousreply 3June 11, 2020 11:57 PM

Does OP know how to post links? FFS.

by Anonymousreply 4June 11, 2020 11:58 PM

I care about this!

by Anonymousreply 5June 12, 2020 12:00 AM

R3 R4 all the information is in the post - why do you need a link?

by Anonymousreply 6June 12, 2020 12:02 AM

All the information in the post was written by who - you?

Sourcing information is an indicator of its credibility.

by Anonymousreply 7June 12, 2020 12:04 AM

The fact that Markle is friends with Mulroney

by Anonymousreply 8June 12, 2020 12:07 AM

Jesus, who cares?

Not directed at you OP but the wind bag bitching about the Jessica woman.

by Anonymousreply 9June 12, 2020 12:19 AM

OP cares.

by Anonymousreply 10June 12, 2020 12:20 AM

It’s kind of a fun bitch fight. That Sasha clapped back at Jessica, who must be fuming!

by Anonymousreply 11June 12, 2020 12:30 AM

They both sound exhausting

by Anonymousreply 12June 12, 2020 12:38 AM

I don't even understand what Mulroney is being accused of doing?

And yes, OP, without a link we cannot verify that this story was not, say, made up by you (I doubt you'd do that, but the point is we cannot know if it's true or not if it's only in text written by you).

by Anonymousreply 13June 12, 2020 12:39 AM

So there isn't a link...because there is no source?

Not credible. Could be more bullshit in the PR wars.

by Anonymousreply 14June 12, 2020 12:44 AM

Not a "bitch fight." Mulroney lost several endorsements. Her TV show on Canadian platforms, and they're not done with her yet.

by Anonymousreply 15June 12, 2020 12:45 AM

because this is Meghan Markle’s BFF ALL the British Tabloids are covering this story

by Anonymousreply 16June 12, 2020 12:45 AM

R12 - this is why I have few females in my life despite being one. Dumbasess could've just talked over a drink and called it a day instead of the bimbo drama. Jeez.

No bimbo drama equals fewer clicks. Who'd want that?

by Anonymousreply 22June 12, 2020 12:53 AM

It can get cold in LA in June when Meghan freezes you out.

by Anonymousreply 23June 12, 2020 12:55 AM

In the spring and early summer and sometimes throughout the summer, a weather condition In Southern California called "May gray / June gloom" blankets the land where a marine layer comes inland and turns skies turn gray, with as they say, "night and morning low clouds." It can last part of the day, the full day or for a few days at a time until it clears.

It appears that Jessica Mulroney may be in for an extended period of May gray / June gloom that could last indefinitely.

by Anonymousreply 24June 12, 2020 1:33 AM

Well, they don't use "Markled" as a verb to describe the ice-cold dropping of friends (and family) for nothing.

by Anonymousreply 25June 12, 2020 1:36 AM
Meghan's going to have to drop her too...

That could get... complicated.

Imagine being shame ditched, knowing what you know, and stuck at home with nothing to do all day except know that all the shallow fucks you pretended to like are revelling in your downfall. Plumped lips sink shits.

by Anonymousreply 26June 12, 2020 2:53 AM

Jessica Mulroney is married to Ben Mulroney, son of former Conservative Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. He was the PM after Justin Trudeau's father, Pierre, retired in 1984.

by Anonymousreply 27June 12, 2020 3:31 AM

JM doesn’t seem to be very bright.

by Anonymousreply 28June 12, 2020 3:33 AM

Oh, I think there's a lot of brain in there. Look at the height of that forehead. You could show IMAX on that.

by Anonymousreply 29June 12, 2020 3:46 AM
Imagine being shame ditched, knowing what you know, and stuck at home with nothing to do all day except know that all the shallow fucks you pretended to like are revelling in your downfall.

She'll need someone to talk to. We'll be her friend. Definitely.

by Anonymousreply 30June 12, 2020 4:04 AM

She wouldn't do that, r30.

by Anonymousreply 31June 12, 2020 4:08 AM

Wasn't MM supposed to appear on her show? Uh oh, another opportunity for MM down the drain.

by Anonymousreply 32June 12, 2020 5:26 AM

R20 - no I ghost them once I see the bitchy bimbo BS they engage in while posting pseudo psychology on their social media. They are such bores and not very nice for the most part.

by Anonymousreply 33June 12, 2020 7:37 AM

So far, the most delicious moment in all this is JM using "liable" for "libel", which Sasha noted with such knife-like elegance.

Jessica Mulroney and Meghan Markle are sisters under the skin, as they say. Talentless climbers whose only real gift is for self-promotion.

However, their shared problem is that the more visible they become, the more visible becomes their lack of real class, depth, genuine talent, and their truly stunning levels of self-absorption and tone-deafness.

by Anonymousreply 34June 12, 2020 1:06 PM

This must be killing her. Her life is the superficial. There's nothing left. A houseful of kids she can't show off and a husband with loads to keep himself occupied. She's Norma Desmond. Actually, Norma had talent before it all went wrong. I'd hate to be her cleaning lady.

by Anonymousreply 35June 12, 2020 4:04 PM

Me! isn’t a black woman though, she’s a Person of Mix

by Anonymousreply 36June 12, 2020 4:17 PM

So I imagine HRH, I mean BFF, called a lot of times yesterday. Probably two or three today. Same Saturday. Once Sunday. One Monday. Then a few days pass, quick call, then a week, then the 'hey, how you doing, doll?' texts, then eventually migrates to emails 'So busy, feeling so guilty... how [italic]are[/italic] you?' and then after not much longer... Mattel may as well be getting fitted for 3XXX morning suits in Mexico for all the noise she's gonna get.

by Anonymousreply 37June 12, 2020 4:25 PM

Mulroney's stupidity is astonishing. How did she not realize that her private threats would stay private for about 0.0004 seconds?

by Anonymousreply 38June 12, 2020 4:31 PM

What's the old saying...
Least said, soonest mended.

Social media goes completely against this.

by Anonymousreply 39June 12, 2020 4:43 PM

This really happened.

I don’t feel sorry for Mulroney because she’s a cunting attention whore, and I hope this Sasha person finishes her.

But here’s the problem: if you say nothing about race on SM, you’re bad. And whatever you say will be picked apart in some way, offending in some minute and esoteric way that you never in a million years intended.

Is there an approved script that non-black people can use that is universally approved?

Fortunately, no one is looking for me on social media, so I can keep my head down and listen and learn. But I’m curious If there’s any non-black response that is okay.

I fear there's only two paths now... the first... more stories like this in the Daily Mail. The second... a peace treaty with the Daily Mail. All she has to do is tell them everything she knows.

Might make MM's courtroom drama much more drama.

by Anonymousreply 42June 12, 2020 7:00 PM

R42 Wouldn't that be timely?

by Anonymousreply 43June 12, 2020 7:19 PM

I'll bet Mulroney was one of the Five Friends who Meghan had leak the contents of her letter to People. If the DM can get any one of those five to talk, they'll win the court case in a slam-dunk.

I'll bet the Daily Mail's lawyers, not the Daily Mail editors, who is putting more calls into the Mulroney household.

by Anonymousreply 44June 12, 2020 7:29 PM

I think so too, R44 and it's no surprise she leaked a story about Sasha. It looks slightly odd (and hypocritical) that she's selling stories to the Daily Mail, who is owned by Associated Press. That does not look very good, not to mention disloyal.

by Anonymousreply 45June 12, 2020 7:48 PM

R45 The Daily Mail is owned by dmg media, formerly Associated Newspapers.

The Associated Press is something else entirely and I'm pretty sure they'd rather not be confused with Associated Newspapers

by Anonymousreply 46June 12, 2020 7:53 PM

The DM is not owned by the AP. It is owned by the Daily Mail & General Trust, controlled by owner Viscount Rothmere.

by Anonymousreply 47June 12, 2020 7:55 PM

You're mischaracterizing the event R40. Mulroney threatened to mess with Sasha's clients in private emails and smiled lovingly in public, and when Sasha referenced it publically JM threatened to sue. It wasn't racial speech, it was coming for the livelihood of a black woman.

Markle is in a big mess right now seeing as how Jess knows every little thing about her and has nothing to lose.

by Anonymousreply 48June 12, 2020 7:57 PM

Oh, ok. My bad. Didn't the Daily mail publish the letter, though? So why is she suing AP?

by Anonymousreply 49June 12, 2020 7:58 PM

Wrong again, ignore previous comment R46. I confused AP with Associated newspapers.

by Anonymousreply 50June 12, 2020 8:01 PM

Jessica could lose her husband.

by Anonymousreply 51June 12, 2020 9:08 PM
Mulroney threatened to mess with Sasha's clients in private emails and smiled lovingly in public, and when Sasha referenced it publically JM threatened to sue. It wasn't racial speech, it was coming for the livelihood of a black woman.

If this happened a year ago, no one would blink an eye, and actually Mulroney would probably get EVEN MORE endorsement deals and TV Time

But since she messed with a woman of color during a time of anti-Black Racism being magnified over 200%, everything is coming crashing down.

Do I feel sorry for Jessica? No, because of her white privilege she has gotten away with this for this FAR too long. Sometimes timing works in people;s favor, and sometimes it works against them. Here timing has worked against Jessica.

by Anonymousreply 54June 12, 2020 9:21 PM

"Can no longer be associated with...".

Well, that didn't take long.

Mulroney's been Markled.

by Anonymousreply 55June 12, 2020 9:26 PM

R54, true.

But the worst thing you can do is remain silent, so I’ll wait until her “friends” talk to People Magazine...

by Anonymousreply 56June 12, 2020 9:41 PM

A huge loss for Sparkles. Watch your back there, Megs.

by Anonymousreply 57June 12, 2020 11:23 PM

That black lady was an asshole too. Going on Jessica's site and calling her out for not being a cheerleader for black people. Jessica doesn't owe anyone anything. Expecting people to owe you something and wanting to blame everyone is going to harm the cause for racial equality

"Pardoning" people for their past behavior and getting them on the right side of this issue, is the way to win support. Once laws have been passed and things have changed, you can rake everyone over the coals for anything and everything they've ever said. That time is not now

by Anonymousreply 58June 12, 2020 11:39 PM

^^Klan Gran gets the story all wrong. Shhh don't disturb her.

by Anonymousreply 59June 13, 2020 12:23 AM

A good giggle. These people all deserve each other.

by Anonymousreply 60June 13, 2020 12:39 AM

Bye Klan Gran. You're so predictably boring.

by Anonymousreply 61June 13, 2020 12:53 AM

Well, JM got her Pippa moment. The whole world’s talking about that ass.

by Anonymousreply 62June 13, 2020 1:21 AM

by Anonymousreply 63June 13, 2020 1:23 AM

^^^Her vagina lips must be looking like stewed prunes tonight

by Anonymousreply 64June 13, 2020 1:57 AM

One of the most bizarre aspects of the Meghan reaction story is that it says that she "Will support JM, just not in public"

So, she's saying "We can still be friends, I just never want to be seen with you in public ever again."

Nice.

by Anonymousreply 65June 13, 2020 2:08 AM

I wonder if Harry still looks slovenly?

by Anonymousreply 66June 13, 2020 2:09 AM

Meghan said that "The worst thing you can do is to say nothing."

And yet she has said nothing about her BFF's alleged racism.

By her own standards, shouldn't she make a statement?

by Anonymousreply 67June 13, 2020 2:27 AM

Do you guys know what's going down on the unpopular Meghan thread on lipstick alley? Backroom chat got deleted too fast on another site but allegedly a troll is going to be hit with a lawsuit.

by Anonymousreply 68June 13, 2020 3:13 AM

R61, and what ‘talent’ does it take to be an ‘influencer’? What the hell is an ‘influencer,’ anyway? Is there a professional degree I can take to declare myself an ‘influencer’?

They’re all talentless hacks, as far as I’m concerned.

by Anonymousreply 69June 13, 2020 3:13 AM
All she has to do is tell them everything she knows. Might make MM's courtroom drama much more drama

She would need to be careful about it in this climate. It might appear that she's trying to take down another black woman. It's not like she can be subpoenaed in a civil case.

by Anonymousreply 70June 13, 2020 3:25 AM

Meghan is distancing herself publicly from her bestie because friends reflect friends......hmmm. She's besties with a mean girl. She belonged to an all-white sorority with a bunch of likely mean girls. So yeah, I guess friends reflect friends she's absolutely correct. Apparently from Lady Campbell's new book on the Sussexes, the long-circulated story about Meghan throwing hot tea at a staff member while she and Harry were visiting Australia is finally verified as true. What a psycho cunt, who the fuck throws hot beverage at another person let alone a servant/ staff member?

by Anonymousreply 71June 13, 2020 4:00 AM

R70, all she needs to be is attributed as one of Megan‘s friends or sources close to Megan. Poor vapid thing won’t have anything to do except run her mouth. The daily mail is probably already sent low-fat chocolate. Twice.

by Anonymousreply 72June 13, 2020 4:12 AM

r70, she was best friends with a half-black woman for over a decade. The "racist" accusation makes no sense here.

by Anonymousreply 73June 13, 2020 4:12 AM

For what it’s worth I don’t believe she’s racist either. But she was stupid enough, vain enough, shallow enough, to pick a fight with the wrong person at the wrong moment. Arrogance and hubris. In retrospect, she’s so flash, so show off it’s almost inevitable something like this would happen to her.

by Anonymousreply 74June 13, 2020 4:14 AM

I also don't think she's racist, just mean-spirited, petty, and power-hungry. She used her associations and status to try to get an up-and-coming influencer blacklisted. That is a mean thing to do as it impacts the other person's livelihood.

by Anonymousreply 75June 13, 2020 4:56 AM

She’s cancelled! Whos next?! We have no time for racists in 2020 or 2021 or 2022 or 2800

by Anonymousreply 76June 13, 2020 5:06 AM

She's not cancelled yet. If she agrees to work with the Daily Mail behind the scenes she will have positive press for the rest of her life.

by Anonymousreply 77June 13, 2020 7:35 AM

Mila Mulroney, Jessica's mother in law, has never liked her. Mila has always felt that no woman was good enough for her Ben. She was never happy with Jess Brownstein . Mila is antisemitic .

And Ben Mulroney is so creepy with his high pitches voice,. Also , Jessica Brownstein was always kind of ugly, like a Brown's shoe had hit her in the mouth.

by Anonymousreply 78June 13, 2020 9:35 AM

Right. Did Jessica decide to address this problem you present by behaving as a rude toddler to her awful Mother in Law at at the Patriarch's birthday ceremony?

No, even retarded Jessica Mulrony doesn't behave as badly as vicious insecure Meghan, who walked into a family, looked around and thought the MeanGirlMantra of "I need to gain power. I must shit on someone. Who should I shit on first?"

First it was Camilla, now it's Kate. later it will be Charlotte.

by Anonymousreply 79June 13, 2020 9:44 AM

Mulroney treats everyone like crap, just like her now ex-BFF Meghan.

by Anonymousreply 80June 13, 2020 12:26 PM

Total extermination of her enemies is Meghan's lifetime M.O.

So this will be interesting....

by Anonymousreply 81June 13, 2020 12:31 PM

I don't feel bad for Mulroney because influencers are obnoxious beyond belief. The funny thing is she is probably not so much a bigot as a generic petty bitch but the whole thing became loaded because of the time we're in. 10 years ago this would have just been a short lived drama playing out on the pages of US weekly and forgotten shortly after. Its hard not to feel schadenfreude though, you just know that social media is this womans entire world.

by Anonymousreply 82June 13, 2020 2:05 PM

What r74 said.

Mulroney, it's reported, (and I've typed these words a million times before, but here it is again) "influenced" the DoS to let her host that NY City vulgar, trashy, ill-advised, Celebrities "A" List Show Folk Baby Shower, which was imho, perhaps the the biggest mistake of the short-lived active Royal duty of Markle.

Ultimately Markle is responsible for that fiasco, however, by not vetoing it. That she didn't says more about her than Mulroney.

by Anonymousreply 83June 13, 2020 2:24 PM
First it was Camilla, now it's Kate. later it will be Charlotte."

It's obvious that Charlotte is not one to be fucked with, even at age 5. Meghan is going to meet her match.
Mila has always felt that no woman was good enough for her Ben.

Well, she's probably correct about the "no woman" part.

by Anonymousreply 85June 13, 2020 2:34 PM

Mulroney was stupid for taking the bait, which wasn’t even tossed directly AT her.

Was anyone LOOKING for her? No.

And if someone asked her directly for her thoughts on the matter, as a “branding expert”, she should have had some bland platitude ready.

She’s an idiot cunt.

And I don’t think much of Ms. Exeter, either. This little spat sure did her a world of good. $$$

by Anonymousreply 86June 13, 2020 8:21 PM

R86 It was a combination of stupidity and being a cunt on her part. People like her can't go long without having the need to berate or show superiority to others. That influencer (who's also not entirely innocent) just happened to be in Jessica's crosshairs at a time when the cunt needed to release the daily quota of her inner cuntiness.

by Anonymousreply 87June 13, 2020 8:59 PM

I am so loving all of this!

by Anonymousreply 88June 13, 2020 11:51 PM

The influencer is 100% innocent. Her livelihood was threatened! Good luck to her and I hope she can turn the negative into positive.

by Anonymousreply 89June 13, 2020 11:58 PM

Her livelihood was threatened, which means Mulroney was guilty of bitchy cuntitude, r89

The influencer decided to wage revenge by disingenuously pretending that Mulroney was a cunt to her because of race.

The influencer is exactly the sort of person who is going to derail the movement by abusing the power that comes with the accusation of racism. And she knows it, but she doesn't care, because she got her own back and now she's famous too.

They are all cunts in this story.

by Anonymousreply 90June 14, 2020 12:02 AM

Mulroney -- wealthy, profoundly privileged, wretchedly white and used to throwing her weight around -- went after the money of a black woman, so spare me your gaslighting that this was simply two cunts going at each other.

I note that some of your Sparkles stan comrades are savaging Exeter on sm using your script -- they see her as competition for BLM bandwagon jumper Megan Markle.

by Anonymousreply 91June 14, 2020 12:13 AM

My "Sparkle stan comrades"?

I am not a Sparkle stan.

"Using my script"?

I write my own thoughts here and no one else's.

But thank you for patronising me.

You sound like you'd get along very well with all the egomaniacal cunts in this story, Meghan, Mulroney and Exeter.

R91, nooo, it was one cunt taking the bait and the other glad to have a dumb bitch to rake over the coals for money and revenge and publicity.

There are no noble heroes in this story. Just degrees of cuntitude. Sasha Exeter won. She’s an opportunist who played her cards right.

by Anonymousreply 94June 14, 2020 12:25 AM

R94 sees this situation clearly and knows the score.

by Anonymousreply 95June 14, 2020 12:27 AM

Jessica is likely not a racist. She is a race opportunist who uses her bestie's half-black status as an excuse to behave like a cunt to an influencer who's also using the current narrative to her own advantage. They're both dumbfuck influencers, just that one is way more cunty than the other.

by Anonymousreply 96June 14, 2020 12:29 AM

I'm just thrilled at all the carnage!

by Anonymousreply 97June 14, 2020 12:35 AM

Exeter sent this out as a general message to the "social influencing" community? Was Mulroney the only one to decline? Did others decline gracefully?

by Anonymousreply 98June 14, 2020 12:38 AM

And r96 sees it, too.

If I had to choose, I’m team Sasha. But she’s not pure and innocent. Just smarter and with a slower trigger finger of the “right” color this time.

by Anonymousreply 99June 14, 2020 12:38 AM

Wow. I’d like to hear more about the throwing of the hot tea. Could that possibly be true? If so, it’s the most outrageous story...

by Anonymousreply 100June 14, 2020 12:51 AM

It was apparently confirmed via podcast by Lady Colin Campbell who has verification from more than one source The unclear part to me is whether she actually directed it

by Anonymousreply 101June 14, 2020 1:03 AM

Lady Colin Campbell is hardly a reliable source

by Anonymousreply 102June 14, 2020 1:08 AM

This story doesn’t merit reliable sources. Are you not entertained?

by Anonymousreply 103June 14, 2020 3:42 AM

I don’t like influencers, but don’t see that Exeter did anything wrong, initially. Mulroney took her post the wrong way and threatened her, in a passive aggressive manner. Makes a public apology, invokes her friends name, race issues, ...and then threatens Exeter again, privately.

Exeter then subtly played the game, I suspect knowing that MM plays the game too.

by Anonymousreply 104June 14, 2020 3:56 AM

How long before she ghosts Omid Scobie?

by Anonymousreply 105June 14, 2020 4:06 AM

Wasn't that story about the tea from Oz on that Quora page a month or so back?

Don't know if true, but the story was that Sparkle and Dim had a fight while staying in Oz. (Reportedly they were fighting a lot and Harry was upset because he felt the pregnancy was announced too soon.) And they were staying in separate rooms. After the fight, a servant brought a cup of tea to Meghan who through it at her.

The story first surfaced around the time of the Down Under tour, but then it was heard no more. The Quora post was a more detailed description.

The other bit from that Quora page was that the banana bread that Sparkle supposedly baked to take to some people the next day was really baked over and over the night before by the kitchen staff until Sparkle was satisfied that it met her specifications.

Anyone else have a link to the Quora post?

by Anonymousreply 106June 14, 2020 5:16 AM

R106 I’ve searched for that post but can’t find it again. Harry Markle site references the incident but doesn’t give any details.

by Anonymousreply 107June 14, 2020 7:10 AM

R107 Isn't the story from this post?

by Anonymousreply 108June 14, 2020 7:56 AM

R108 No. The incidents occurred on their visit to Australia and involved staff at the Governor’s residence in South Australia (I think)

It mentioned the tea incident, the cake and some other things. Iirc the post on quota was made by someone who knew a staff member there.

Apparently Harry had to apologise for his wife’s behaviour.

by Anonymousreply 109June 14, 2020 8:45 AM

R109 Huh, could have swore it was mentioned there. Anyway, other people on Quora remember it being posted, too.

The Sunshine Sachs employees should stop propping that one Quora post made by a Sunshine Sachs employee to defend Meghan.

She DID throw HOT tea at a staff member at Government House, in Sydney, Australia.

How do we know this?

The Government-General's wife was so distressed by the incident that she was forced to make a complaint to the F.O.

Let's wait for Lady C's book.
Mila Mulroney, Jessica's mother in law, has never liked her. Mila has always felt that no woman was good enough for her Ben. She was never happy with Jess Brownstein . Mila is antisemitic

Mila is Serbian which explains a lot.

R109 This might be it.

Wow. I'd heard rumors about tea tossing and whining, but this is delicious, if true. And explains much. That tag hanging from the dress was no oversight, as DL had called if true nearly two years ago.

by Anonymousreply 114June 14, 2020 4:19 PM

Is there body language in R113? Because it's a classic group shot and there she stands, distant from the rest. Or it is just the angle?

One thing we can thank Covid for is far less of her and her gang of shallow.

by Anonymousreply 115June 14, 2020 5:37 PM

Of course with those bow legs made she naturally tilts away from everyone else.

by Anonymousreply 116June 14, 2020 5:38 PM

Since you brought it up, she looks pshopped, like she was originally under that odd white circular area. Harkles PR tried to change reality quite a bit.

by Anonymousreply 117June 14, 2020 5:50 PM

I have no idea what actually went down at the garden party but something did, because both Meghan and Harry left unsmiling and Meghan's slow, swaying hips as she left radiated Kiss My Arse!! Things looked normal to me, too, from the video until the farewells, when it became clear the Harkles were being sent out and were taken by surprise.

The tea-throwing incident I would guess is supported by the resignation of long-time pro royal staffer Melissa Tabouti as soon as the tour was over, followed by the BRF's rushed public statement about how wonderful Tabouti was. It smelt strongly of heading off Tabouti from leaking the awful behaviour she saw from Meghan on that tour. You KNOW statement by the BRF was a payoff attached to an NDA to keep Tabouti from spilling what she knew. The statement might as well have had "NDA Attached" to it in huge letters.. Other weird things occurred on that tour, as well. The tag hanging from the hem of that dress, the barely-there curtsy to the King of Tonga, and Meghan's hasty exit out of that marketplace for no reason anyone could tell.

by Anonymousreply 118June 14, 2020 10:40 PM

What's the time line? When did the so called influencer first contact Mulroney? Could Markle have put her up to it? I've read Megs drops friends when no longer needed. I've always wondered who arranged Harry and Megs digs in Canada. Possibly lots of stories to come out? What is an influencer?

by Anonymousreply 119June 14, 2020 11:20 PM

?? The story is in the OP.

by Anonymousreply 120June 14, 2020 11:50 PM

I'm sure it's Meghan's fault, isn't everything?

by Anonymousreply 121June 14, 2020 11:52 PM

R119 - I don't think Meghan was involved in Mulroney's idiot behaviour, but it's certainly typical of Meghan to ghost someone swiftly if she thinks they are hindering her agenda. The funny thing is, Diana was the same way. She was extremely capricious and could play the devoted friend one day and then cut someone off the next if she imagined a slight or simply no longer needed him or her.

Meghan needed JM for a few years in Toronto and let JM do plenty of dirty work for her after Meghan married Harry, but with the return to America, and taking up her very American identity again, and with the onset of the racial upheaval, Meghan not only no longer needs JM, but finds her no longer on brand.

I'm not defending JM who is the kind of woman I despise, but in view of their legendary bestie relationship, and how much JM did for Meghan, I think it would have been more to Meghan's credit to leak that she was very distressed at the turn of events, was disappointed in her friend's actions, and surprised as well because she knew JM to be a good person after their years of friendship. It would have been a perfectly honourable path to take, instead of immediately throwing JM overboard and cementing Meghan's reputation as a callous ghoster.

No one comes out of this one smelling like a rose.

by Anonymousreply 122June 15, 2020 12:45 AM

Oh, and, er speaking of Meghan taking up her American identity again: unless something occurred that we don't know about, Meghan has been out of the UK for more than 90 days. She left a day, two at most, after that abysmal display of family warfare in the Abbey on 9 March. It is now 15 June. If Iy remember correctly, if you have applied for UK citizenship, you cannot spend more than 90 days out of the UK without returning or your application is dead in the water and you have to start all over again.

If I'm remembering this correctly, and Meghan hasn't made any secret side trips to Old Blighty (she'd have needed a private jet to do so in light of the virus travel issues), she is no longer pursuing UK citizenship.

Any immigration specialists about who can confirm or correct this?

by Anonymousreply 123June 15, 2020 12:50 AM

R115 I recall there was more on Quora but I think was removed. The link I posted contains most of it, but I remember that there was a story behind that photo where she refused to stand next to them, and Harry was deeply embarrassed.

Something is definitely wrong about that photo and it really shows.

by Anonymousreply 124June 15, 2020 12:51 AM

In reading the links of the two posts above about Meghan's behaviour Down Under and the "tea" incident, one commenter posed an interesting question: if Lady C, as she claims, discusses the incident in her book including what she says is absolute proof the incident occurred AND of the BRF paying off the person Meghan threw the tea at . . .

Might Meghan sue for libel? Depends on whether Meghan reads the passage and realises Lady C DOES have a prima facie source and suing would only make Meghan look worse.

Or, if Lady C is just blowing smoke up the world's arse to sell her book and when you get to that bit all it says is, "Two people who were close to staff in Admiralty House reveal . . ." then her sources aren't prima facie at all and Lady C is just repeating gossip as she has been known to do, and pass it off as reliably sourced info.

In which case, Lady C might be inviting a lawsuit.

by Anonymousreply 125June 15, 2020 1:16 AM

The tea throwing incident is an example of an Adderall rage. Her dose is prob too high. She's on a stimulant. Remember the video where she jokes in front of an audience that she's "such a fraud"? The facial expressions and accelerated rate of speech scream Adderall to me. This is only an observer's opinion.

by Anonymousreply 126June 15, 2020 5:02 AM

She definitely seems jacked up on something in public. Must be a laugh a minute at home. At T. Perry's home, I mean.

by Anonymousreply 127June 15, 2020 5:12 AM

I had no rage can be a side effect. That would explain a lot. Do people who have those outbursts typically have any insight after the episode? How the whole world would be horrified? I can see how she wouldn't being the narc she is

by Anonymousreply 131June 23, 2020 3:35 AM

Except for the Prince Harry connection, who would have heard of Mulroney, his wife or Markle? These people were most famous in Canada. That’s like having the most tastefully decorated house in Denver. When all this is over these two will be languishing in petty obscurity. WHET would be a step up.

If this were a reality show it would be called Badly Behaved Nobodies.
