by Anonymousreply 18June 6, 2020 11:18 PM

R17 They look like they're dressed in religious vestments. Why is one guy wearing a scabbard and the other guy isn't? Is he the dominant one?

by Anonymousreply 19June 6, 2020 11:20 PM

R19, lol, possibly. I believe only one of the grooms is of Georgian descent and he's actually the one on the left without the scabbard.

by Anonymousreply 20June 6, 2020 11:36 PM

I'm loving that German dude in R14. His chest is perfection and I love his vein-y arms and the one nipple he's showing.

by Anonymousreply 21June 6, 2020 11:38 PM

Does what the German guy is wearing count as lederhosen?

by Anonymousreply 22June 6, 2020 11:41 PM

R20 Thanks. I was curious about the scabbard because I was at a traditional wedding in Scotland. All the groomsmen wore beautiful kilts and scabbards. I never saw blades at a wedding ceremony before!

by Anonymousreply 23June 6, 2020 11:42 PM

IM WETTTTTTTT

by Anonymousreply 24June 6, 2020 11:42 PM

R22 I don't know about lederhosen, but it looks like a softer version of some kind of leather harness and shorts. Soft and sweet not harsh like leather.

by Anonymousreply 25June 7, 2020 12:00 AM

And let's not forget our POTUS showing off his stylish self to the Queen of England!

Pretty difficult to beat the pageantry of the Plains tribes'-style headdresses.

R3 I think that's actually something traditional from Sardinia, as he's wearing the traditional black hat that's like a big sock that's rolled up. (Note the photo has an Italian copyright source.)

I’m Scottish and I wear a kilt for special occasions like weddings. I have the legs and the build to carry it off. It looks terrible on skinny guys. It is traditional not to wear underpants. I have no idea why. I lived in England for many years, and discovered that some tacky English people treat the kilt as a huge joke. At one wedding I had people trying to lift it, and one even stuck a camera under it. Morons.

by Anonymousreply 50June 7, 2020 9:43 AM

Not exactly sure where to place this. Could be Indian and/or Muslim, maybe Pakistani style? Just going by the look, not by the cultural background, I kinda like it. Straight lines, fitted cut. Very manly in an understated way. And then you bring it all out in the pattern and the colors.

"I’m Scottish and I wear a kilt for special occasions like weddings. I have the legs and the build to carry it off. It looks terrible on skinny guys. "

I do like a kilt on a man, although around here, my main chance is at the "Celtic Fairs" that real Scotsmen must think hilarious. But it's true, kilts aren't flattering to reedy boys, they look good on a solid build, even on the older guys in the bagpipe bands.

And on the occasional woman. There are a few women in the bands, and they wear the band uniform, which is Scots menswear.

R50 I really love kilts, I also very much like the more modern ones(no plaid). There are so many nice kilts these days. I have been charmed by more than one Scotsman and no regrets there. Sorry about the way some English people still treat Scots. They can't seem to let you go, a loveless marriage where the English husband is an abuser.

by Anonymousreply 69June 7, 2020 6:26 PM

R68, are you saying you would like Mr. Easter Island to Rapa your Nui?
