I think Muriel monitors everyone's posts very closely. Like Willy Wonka, she's looking for her Charlie to take over when she's gone.

Moderators have to be trained. They have to understand what policies and procedures they must follow. That takes a lot of time and from the looks of it no one at the company has the time to do all that. Remember, you're to an extent giving people you don't even know the keys to the house.

I believe Datalounge is more of a passive income stream for dear Muriel. (No offence intended whatsoever , just in case!)

I would suspect Muriel is by far smarter than slaving aeay singlehandedly to moderate the forum. If Muriel requires help, Muriel pays someone or a few to help. I suspect Muriel has better things to do with Muriel's time than spend Muriel's entire life here.

The self-policing features such as new sign-in, and having had the "F/F"s work well enough for so long, wouldn't appear to really require a human be so involved.
