I can't figure out what R1 is on about. What does he think is wrong with what I wrote? Does he think I should have written (A $80 ticket) instead of (An $80 ticket)? If that's it, the way I look at it is, if I had written it as (eighty dollar ticket) would he still have had such a wobbly over it?

The woman doesn’t get a pass for refusing to sign, fleeing and then kicking the officer because she is a “country girl”, as she said. However, the officer should have explained that signing is not an admission of guilt and she can tell it to the judge. BTW, this is old news from July. Wonder how it turned out. Tried to look it up.

Did some digging to find out what ended up happening in this case. It turns out that it's still making its way through the courts. She waived her right to a preliminary hearing in December 2019 and was scheduled for a court appearance in March 2020. The March appearance has been rescheduled for June.
