Rosa Moline was a tramp!
Perhaps the last film where Bette was pretty. How did she get so hard-looking so fast?

Bette Davis hated the script of this movie and used it to break her contract with Warner Brothers. She also said that she was too old for the part. Toward the end she hated the scripts that Jack Warner was giving her and with Beyond The Forest enough was enough.

I saw the movie and actually liked it. Bette was too old but the main problem with the movie she played the character like she was bad to the hilt.

Spoiler: I wonder if she died from a post-miscarriage infection- or if her doctor-husband poisoned her? He tells the housekeeper to keep giving her some pills every couple of hours.

I like it when an actor plays a part they’re too old for. It’s magical.

Does anyone know what actress was originally considered for the role? I heard Bette wasn’t the first choice. But of course, she made it hers.

Is her character supposed to be Mexican also?

Why hasn't this movie ever been released on DVD or Blu-Ray?

A hard heart, OP, a hard heart if she even had one.

If this is ever on TCM, let’s notify each other, mkay?

This movie was Bette's best comedy.

This is a movie of Bette's I wish they would show more often. I don't ever recall seeing on TCM, which shows everything else she ever made. I know Bette hated it with a passion but I remember being kind of luridly fascinated by it when I saw it years ago. It's such a potboiler.
