What is your favorite trash cereal?

We all have one. Mine is probably Reese's Puffs. I've always loved the peanut butter/chocolate combo in general. Fruity Pebbles are also pretty damn good.

Are used to love Boo-berry. Anyone remember that cereal? I don’t think they make it anymore.

I do like blueberry Cheerios though!

I'm cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.

by Anonymousreply 8May 3, 2020 8:10 AM

I used to love regular Cheerios and Corn Flakes. Shredded Wheat as well. Grape Nuts were addictive!

I ate almost healthy breakfasts when I was younger.

I don't eat trash cereal. Why should anyone with any sense have a "favorite" except for nostalgia.

You don't mean that the twats and gayliwogs here actually eat this crap, do you? Sugar on shit still make you a coprophage to touch it.

by Anonymousreply 13May 3, 2020 3:02 PM

Did you miss a medication this morning, R13?

by Anonymousreply 14May 3, 2020 3:04 PM

Sugar Smacks. But they no longer make it. So Frosted Flakes would be second choice.

by Anonymousreply 15May 3, 2020 3:17 PM

R15 from the looks of it, Sugar Smacks are just Sugar Crisp, which they still make (though it’s now called Golden Crisp and probably made with more sugar than ever)

Tie between Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Froot Loops.

by Anonymousreply 23May 3, 2020 3:35 PM

I am a member of the Cap'n Crunch Navy, thank me for my service. Just for snacks though it is Kashi Go Lean in the morning.

by Anonymousreply 24May 3, 2020 3:37 PM

Froot Loops. For healthy cereal I prefer muesli but I can't find anything in the U.S. that is similar to what you can buy in Europe or New Zealand. The U.S. cereal tend to have more rolled oats and less nuts and dried fruit.

by Anonymousreply 25May 3, 2020 3:44 PM

I mostly hate cereal. It never filled me up and I was always hungry an hour later. I will eat rice krispies treats with melted chocolate on them, chex mix and Sugar pops (don't know what they call them today) with heavy whipping cream, that's it.

by Anonymousreply 26May 3, 2020 3:45 PM

R5 I love it too and you can buy Boo Berry on eBay!

by Anonymousreply 27May 3, 2020 4:15 PM

Apple Cinnamon Cheerios (or store brand)

Coco Puffs (or store brand)

by Anonymousreply 28May 3, 2020 4:25 PM

Another vote for Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I like Maple Cheerios too. Cap'n Crunch tastes great but it's like eating glass shards.

I'm sure you like it just for the name.

by Anonymousreply 31May 3, 2020 6:48 PM

R22 delicious. I would recommend saving lots of marshmallows for last and enjoying them with the extra sweet milk residue.

R24 my condolences. Kashi Go Lean tastes like what I imagine wood chips would taste like.

by Anonymousreply 32May 3, 2020 6:56 PM

Tried Chocolate Cheerios for the first time.

While it’s more like dessert than breakfast, I have to say I was impressed with how it turns the milk in your bowl into chocolate milk.

Not just a little chocolate bleeding, but full on chocolate milk.

You should try Kellogg's corn flakes with sliced ripe banana and a little sugar sprinkled on top. Very healthy refreshing and satisfying

by Anonymousreply 34May 3, 2020 7:57 PM

Cap’n Crunch, with extra sugar on top. It’s a miracle I don’t have diabetes and do have all my teeth. I mustered out of the Cap’n Crunch Navy and don’t eat like that anymore.

by Anonymousreply 35May 3, 2020 9:44 PM

Remember King Vitamin? IIRC, it was very simular to Cap'n Crunch.

by Anonymousreply 36May 3, 2020 11:50 PM

At my sleepaway camp in the mid 1970's they started serving Cap'n Crunch for breakfast. I was a HAPPY CAMPER.

by Anonymousreply 37May 4, 2020 12:16 AM

R5 check the stores around Halloween for Boo Berry and the other "Monster" cereals that aren't available all year 'round. I think Count Chocula is in the store all the time but Franken Berry may only be around close to Halloween.

by Anonymousreply 38May 4, 2020 12:32 AM

Frosted Mini Wheats.

by Anonymousreply 39May 4, 2020 12:43 AM

I try to mostly eat unsweetened cereals and add my own Splenda, fruit, and unsweetened almond milk. But sometimes I'll break down and get Cinnamon Toast Crunch or Frosted Shredded Wheat. Vanilla Chex and Maple Cheerios are pretty good, too.

These various cereals we’re talking about were absolutely BANNED in my house growing up. Every once in a while my mom would give in and buy us a box of it. We would tear the box open and dump everything into a bowl to get to the prize inside! Then we would try to put the cereal back in the box without spilling it everywhere. We would go through one box of cereal in two days between two kids.

You sound special. Did she also “give in” and feed you lead paint chips?

by Anonymousreply 46May 4, 2020 3:06 AM

I like the Malt-O-Meal knockoff Sugar Smacks called Golden Crunch.

You can make rice crispy treats with them and they're surprisingly good.

by Anonymousreply 47May 4, 2020 3:10 AM

Golden Grahams.

Cookie Crisp

by Anonymousreply 49May 4, 2020 3:13 AM

Lucky Charms all day.

As one of the very few sugary cereals made from oats, Lucky Charms have actual food value, just with delicious marshmallows to go with it! Wheat, corn and rice-based cereals don't offer much nutritional value at all, although many are delicious.

I also used to love Honeycomb Cereal!

by Anonymousreply 50May 4, 2020 3:40 AM

Chocolate cinnamon toast crunch.

by Anonymousreply 51May 4, 2020 3:44 AM

God - now I’m craving Capn Crunch - damn you DL. Fruity Pebbles are also damn good.

by Anonymousreply 52May 4, 2020 3:50 AM

For the not so good for you, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I shan't curse he who mentioned Chocolate Cinnamon Toast Crunch because it appears that I can't get them on Peapod.

When I was a kid, my mother let me eat Instant Quaker Oatmeal with Oreo cookies in it. This was way before Oreo flavored everything and everything flavored Oreos.

I was ahead of my time I was!

I also had a brief granola phase and an even briefer Frosted Mini Wheats phase.

But when I discovered Honey Nut Cheerios in my 20's all that other crap was DEAD TO ME!!!

DEAD, DO YOU HEAR ME?!?!

I swear these companies are so irresponsible producing such crap cereal for the public to consume! No wonder why a lot of us are fucked up nutrition wise, addicted to sugar, and fat!

by Anonymousreply 67May 7, 2020 11:49 PM

Do any elder gays remember FAMILIA. My mother would buy that cereal in the early 1970's. I liked it too.
