Happy Birthday, Bobby.

When I was 11 years old, I used to salivate over Bobby Rydell and used to beat off to his photos. I loved everything about him (and still do). Happy Birthday, Bobby!!

Bobby Rydell’s influence on popular music has been profound. When the producers of “Grease” wanted to pay tribute to the era in which the popular musical was set, they named the high school where most of the action took place “Rydell High” in his honor.

Why would the producers be involved in the name of the high school? Wouldn't the AUTHORS make that choice?

R6: Apparently the "Grease" playwright agreed with the producers' note regarding the name, otherwise you cannot change a single word in a stage production without the author's consent.
Screenwriting, on the other hand, is a more collaborative literary, and every Tom, Dick or Mary can meddle with a script.

Looks like Bobby had trouble hiding his excitement at being close to the delectable Ann-Margaret. (Starting at 0:34.)
