Not sure why he had so many wrinkles on the lower half of his face, but it looks like he got skin removed and some fat injected. Also looks like he had lots of skin treatments on his face. His skin looks like the top layer has been taken off (red, smooth).
But yes, he was very hot in the '80s. Agree that he still looks good for his age. Hair looks obviously dyed.

R9, the photo on the right is taken with a strong flash directly on his face, which helps remove most of the wrinkles you see in the outdoor pic. Whatever the causes -- his druggie years, his alcoholism -- of his extremely aged face (and it looks much better here due to the instagramish filtering and heavy makeup), the question is if the rest of his body is in such good shape, why doesn't he go in for an eye job at the very least?
Methinks the drugs did too much damage to the microcirculation in his facial muscles.
