“Straight Talk” - 1992 Dolly Parton Film

What did you all think of this movie? I recently rewatched it after not having seen it since it was first released. It’s a cute movie, but cheesy and lots of elements that were no where near being realistic.

I liked this movie as a kid. We had the vhs for some strange reason Dolly is amazing but James woods has turned into a psycho. I can’t watch anything he’s in.

Don't you mean waddling in my footsteps, dearest?

Why would OP care what we thought of a shitty Dolly Parton movie?

Form you own opinions OP and stop being so co-dependent.

I prefer Rhinestone.

It's even shittier.

Funny thing is Dolly says James Woods was the best kisser, even better than her husband. I just can't imagine he is that good.

Too bad Dolly didn't develop as an actress. She had a good start with 9to5 and Whorehouse. Then she just chose fluff and moved away from acting.

R10 I thought she was great in Steel Magnolias and should have continued as a character actress in ensemble movies.
