Any memorial dedications to her late television son?

Boppity bop!

Grammy voters--- are you paying attention?

Do people think that she can sing?

Does she do an updated hip hop version of the "Alice" theme?

Why do performers of Lavin's vintage love medleys? She didn't even have hits to cram into a setlist.

At least it isn’t Bonnie Franklin....

Can't wait to hear her cover of "My Neck, My Back"
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 2, 2020 9:44 PM |
Linda Lavin is very good and has been doing YouTube concerts with Billy Stritch. Take a look of you haven’t seen them.

I'm glad there's no title track.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 2, 2020 9:56 PM |
Where is her disco album? If it was good enough for Merman, it's good enough for her.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 2, 2020 9:59 PM |
At age 82 Linda Lavin must have been very bored to put out a new album and also fronted the deal. Her voice sounds like a parody of an eccentric singer and I can't see people really getting excited over this new offering.

Who cares OP.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 2, 2020 10:08 PM |
Does Linda's pussy stink?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 2, 2020 10:12 PM |
The photo on the album was taken years ago. False advertising.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 2, 2020 10:12 PM |
Not necessarily. She seems to go back and forth with dyeing her hair. Has she always favored thin brows?

I've just listened to the whole thing on Apple Music.
It's pretty unremarkable. She definitely doesn't sound brassy like on the Alice theme song(s), but she sounds pretty good for 82 years old.
The samba-ish and slower-tempo songs are the most successful.
The cover of Steely Dan's Black Cow would be the DL fave. It's not very good, but it does suggest that someone could really have success remaking an entire Steely Dan album like Aja with jazz combo and a game singer. Probably not Linda Lavin. She closes it with a line from "Why Don't You Do Right?" that makes sense with the lyrics but also edges the whole thing into parody territory.
The medleys aren't so bad, r6. I think older singers are looking for ways to make very familiar songs sound fresh by finding common themes and stringing them together. I wish they'd dig deeper into the vaults for lesser-known songs, though.

What??? This has to hit the top of the charts!!!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 2, 2020 11:27 PM |
I love how she recorded a new version of the Alice theme song every season during the show’s run.

She sounds like a 92 year old Yetta trying to be sexy.

The Eagles song is unrecognizable; on the other hand, I think she may have copied every bit of Black Cow, down to phrasing and the drum beats.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 3, 2020 5:20 AM |
The vocals sound tuned.

R12 To be fair: who gets excited about music anymore?

This is so encouraging for a young gal like me...

Up until now I thought somehow I'd get through this damn Covid19 nightmare but after listening to this dreck of Linda's, I no longer have the will to live.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 4, 2020 7:09 AM |
She needs to team up with Dionne for a Night of Class. At least we know Linda will show up and ramble on between songs to fill in. Because you know Dionne will cancel yet again due to another terrorist threat against her life just hours before the show begins.

Auto tune is making her voice sound better than it really is...

There's an Alice marathon on Antenna TV. Because there wasn't already enough suffering in the world.
