Stage actors are all over each other at work, literally.... onstage, you're breathing the same air, practically swapping spit and sweat. Some actors salivate/spit a lot when they're projecting their voices. Everyone from lead to chorus. It's a petri dish up there.

I think the risks are far less in TV/film, unless you're doing love scenes, in which case you're doomed.

Celebrities really are insufferable. Why the need to announce their infection? Anything to stay in the headlines.

I actually think celebs are doing some good by keeping the risks of contagion elevated in people's minds. There's a lot of willful ignorance out there. Seeing young, attractive, successful people at risk can help overcome that ignorance.
