Team Carter.

by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 17, 2020 7:35 PM |
He was good looking, but smiled too much. Came across as cheesy.
He became a snake oil salesmen after his acting career hit the skids, apparently. From his Wikipedia article:
"In 1993, Waggoner was the host of an infomercial, “Let's Talk With Lyle Waggoner”, which advertised “Y-Bron”, supposedly a natural product that would cure male impotence. Scottsdale, Arizona-based Twin Star was later fined $1.5 million for unsubstantiated claims about Y-Bron."

Steve and Diana should have hooked up in the t.v. series. Instead, he married another woman and had a son who looked exactly like him (Lyle Waggoner as the son).

When the show first started out, he was just the announcer. And when she finally did give him stage time, it wasn't anything solid. Perhaps if she had given him more stage time, he may have stayed.

They had great chemistry in Season 1 - the WW2 era. He really got screwed over when it moved to CBS (maybe Carol was behind it?) and it became “The Diana Prince Show”.

[quote]Rumored bisexual Lynda Carter & Lyle didn't get along during the WW years.
Never heard this rumor. Very interesting.
I do remember reading that, had "Wonder Woman" been renewed for another season, they were going to drop his character from the show and Diana Prince would instead lead a team of special agents. CBS pulled the plug before that could happen, though. Not that it would've made a big difference -- they had virtually reduced him to a day player during the last season anyway.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | March 18, 2020 4:06 AM |
I thought Kaz Garas was a much better Steve Trevor than Lyle.
He was in the WW movie that starred Cathy Lee Crosby.
(It's okay to like Cathy Lee Crosby, right? Even though Lynda Carter was the best super-hero casting ever.)

I’d be fine looking like him at 80 something. He aged well. & like the breastresses - he gave people what they wanted: his fit body.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | March 18, 2020 6:19 AM |
The first time I smoked pot, after I was dropped off by friends, I sat down with the family. They were watching "The Carol Burnett Show" and he came out as Tarzan wearing a little loin cloth and I about passed out on the spot. (it was then I realized pot could make you tremendously horny). I had never seen him before and he was so handsome and had such a beautiful body. R.I.P. you gorgeous man you.
And R42 was right he stayed great looking until the end. Unlike another of my boyhood crushes - Clint Walker. If you've never seen later photos of him, and you are a fan, [bold]Don't look for them![/bold] They are some scary shit.

I can't think of any. The final WW show aired on 9-11-79. I've never seen them together on anything since. I think she said that to be kind (at this moment of his death).
It's a well know fact that conservatives aren't as welcome in Hollywood as liberals, moderates (& I'm okay with that since they support bigoted policies).
by Anonymous | reply 71 | March 18, 2020 7:46 PM |
Not a good move in general for a celebrity to die during this corona pandemic. With Lyle Waggoner it doesn’t matter because no one fucking knows who he is (except 50+ queens and Golden Girls fanatics) but Betty White wont get that televised in state funeral I know she’s counting on if she drops dead before this is over. So hang in there Betty (and everyone else)!

R85 That is from when comedy was actually funny, not so super nice that you rolled your eyes and gave yourself an injection for too much sugar. As Mel Brooks said, you discredit Hitler and the Nazi's by making them buffoons. Unfortunately, you cannot convince the humorless "woke" SJW's of that today because they want to eliminate comedy altogether.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | March 19, 2020 2:05 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 109 | March 19, 2020 6:28 PM |
(R109) Agree completely. The original costume was much better, classic. Also hated that they stopped the charming 1940's setting. Vintage cars clothes and sets would have been more expensive. The "modern day" setting was so ordinary looking, and took away a lot of the magic. Cheap bastards.

One is called 'Gay or Str8' (and the Posters gave him a 73% as being gay (per them if one receives a 69% rating he is considered gay!). The other site was more 'considerate, it gave him a 55% 'rating!' That site is called 'vipfag.' In any event, he was blessed with a hunky body and exceptional looks!
