Guys you're surprised HAVEN'T been named in #metoo

Gus van Sant - likes twinks as much as Bryan Singer. Allegedly.

Revolta - sexually harasses male crew members. Allegedly.

by Anonymousreply 80March 12, 2020 9:45 AM

I'm not surprised they haven't been named, OP. Compared to the mountain of men who've been #MeTooed by women and cancelled for it, other than Spacey and Singer can you name a single man who has been #MeTooed and #cancelled for sexually harassing/assaulting/abusing men?

The masses don't care about male victims. #MeToo helps push the societal view of women as helpless sex objects while maintaining the idea that men can not possible be sexually assaulted or abused or harassed, and if they are they're gay.

Welcome to America, where you're allowed to express your discontent as long as you fit into a box.

R6, it's an issue if the twinks are under 18

by Anonymousreply 7February 28, 2020 10:25 PM

Tarantino. He’s in Israel now with the fake family he ought to rehab his image. He needed to go away and let everyone hopefully forget that he was the beloved “third Weinstein brother”.

More baby boomer musicians, in general. People go on and on about Roman Polanski, but what about Jimmy Page an that "kidnapped" 14 year old girl? People rarely, if ever, bring this stuff up.

R38, most of those baby boomer musicians were open about their sluttitude back in the day. The underage groupies are old news now, and the groupies themselves are old women. And the old rock stars probably cant get it up any more, even with a fistful of viagra on board.

Re R1---"#MeToo helps push the societal view of women as helpless sex objects while maintaining the idea that men can not possible be sexually assaulted or abused or harassed, and if they are they're gay."

Citation needed.

This is one lil' MRA whiner's interpretation of "#metoo". I have never once heard anyone related to "#metoo" say that men cannot be victims of sexual abuse or harassment. Lard forbid women should stand up for themselves and demand change without hurting some celibate man-child's feelings. Go cry to yer ma, R1.

by Anonymousreply 52March 3, 2020 12:55 PM

Seth MacFarlane is gay R44. He might be #metooed but it won’t be my women.

You can't get any more #metoo'ed than dead.

by Anonymousreply 77March 12, 2020 5:15 AM

"Casting couch is not metooable. People casting couching do it willingly. "

Wrong on both counts, R64. Because:

1) Anyone who makes business decisions via the casting couch instead of offering jobs to the most qualified applicant is abusing company funds and trust, and needs to be exposed and fired.

2) Offering someone the choice between unemployment and fucking a creep, is coercive and deserves to be #METOO'd.

3) Harvey Weinstein was known to retaliate against women who turned him down, if they said "no" to his casting couch and he'd do his best to sink their careers. So again, there was coercion, which deserves to be #METOO'd.

4) Refusing to give a role to the best applicant unless they fuck the producer in additional to doing a good job, is yet another abuse of power and anyone who does it deserves to have hellfire rained down on them.

Really, your view of the casting couch as a cheerful exchange of favors is a bit... unrealistic.
