"The Gay Parade"... Banned "Suddenly Susan" season 4, Episode 9 episode is on Roku Channel
This episode was banned from airing back in 2000 on NBC and never aired on reruns etc. The Roku Channel now has Suddenly Susan on it and they have that episode.
I am watching it and I see why the episode would be controversial, but it should not have been banned. You guys should watch it.

R1 at the magazine they work for they want to do an issue dedicated to sports and athletes, so Susan comes up with the idea to have it be gay athletes in sports and interview them etc. which leads to the owner of the magazine and Susan’s co-workers objecting to the idea, with tons of bad and tasteless gay jokes about gay men and being pretty homophobic. Susan is offended by their homophobia (which they claim isn’t homophobia) but drops the idea. She then writes a fake article mocking her homophobic co-worker, with many homophobic things he has or would say, and it ends up getting published in the magazine, which leads to an uproar from the San Francisco gay community.

I see nothing about it being banned. It is listed on wikipedia as airing along with all the last 5 episodes in the over night NBC All Night block on December 26, 2000.

To show that the magazine and the people behind it aren’t homophobic, they build a float for the Gay Parade to show support. She is the only one on the float, as none of the co-workers go to it minus her boyfriend played by Rob Estes, who shows up after he finds out she will be there and assumes that because she is at the gay parade that she must be gay too. She says she isn’t and they kiss. The end.
