It's on a golf course, not near a golf course but ON one. Who the hell wants people in your backyard with balls flying all over the place?

by Anonymousreply 1January 31, 2020 5:41 PM

Brazil here they come!!!

by Anonymousreply 2January 31, 2020 5:41 PM

What do people do with all that square footage? It’s bizarre to me.

by Anonymousreply 3January 31, 2020 5:43 PM

Wonder if she has pooped in all nine toilets?

by Anonymousreply 4January 31, 2020 5:47 PM

Yep, r1, I thought you had to be joking. Nope, it's actually ON a golf course!

by Anonymousreply 5January 31, 2020 5:47 PM

That does not look like a $28m house. And "it sits on a golf course" - who wants random people on their front lawn for 28 millions?

by Anonymousreply 6January 31, 2020 5:47 PM

R3 they probably need lots of room for all that rowing equipment

by Anonymousreply 7January 31, 2020 5:47 PM

Nothing special.

by Anonymousreply 8January 31, 2020 5:48 PM

I expect they will soon be living in pubic housing paid for by the taxpayers, otherwise know as prison.

by Anonymousreply 9January 31, 2020 5:49 PM

We can only hope, R9.

by Anonymousreply 10January 31, 2020 5:52 PM

Wow. The House that Tar-gey built.

by Anonymousreply 11January 31, 2020 5:59 PM

My wealthy aunt and uncle lived on a golf course so they could start playing right from their back yard. To golfers who can work out a deal with the golf club, that's their idea of heaven.

by Anonymousreply 12January 31, 2020 5:59 PM

What exciting lives some people lead!

by Anonymousreply 13January 31, 2020 6:37 PM

“Who the hell wants people in your backyard with balls flying all over the place?“

Kevin Spacey has got to be looking for a new space.

by Anonymousreply 14January 31, 2020 7:24 PM

Do they need the money for legal fees?

by Anonymousreply 15January 31, 2020 7:30 PM

Lawyers are gonna make out well with that criminal couple

by Anonymousreply 16January 31, 2020 8:04 PM

I'm sure they're looking to downsize, what with the girls off to college....

by Anonymousreply 17January 31, 2020 8:13 PM

They will never convict her. She is America's Aunt Becky, a National Treasure.

*hot

Shit!

by Anonymousreply 21January 31, 2020 11:53 PM

It would just be such a hardship if she had to serve house arrest in that dump.

by Anonymousreply 22February 1, 2020 12:01 AM

Did it really go up that high in 5 years?

by Anonymousreply 23February 1, 2020 12:32 AM

She'll do fine.....

by Anonymousreply 24February 1, 2020 12:38 AM

"That does not look like a $28m house. And "it sits on a golf course" - who wants random people on their front lawn for 28 millions?"

Uh, I am doing three new houses on the same golf course. Minimum house price, 22 million.

by Anonymousreply 26February 1, 2020 2:05 AM

[quote] Uh, I am doing three new houses on the same golf course. Minimum house price, 22 million.

Sure, Jan. And you’re who, Mauricio Umansky?

by Anonymousreply 27February 1, 2020 2:17 AM

'Empty House'

by Anonymousreply 28February 1, 2020 3:28 AM

I'm afraid they're going to get off with no jail time and it pisses me off.

by Anonymousreply 29February 1, 2020 3:30 AM

Whatever you need to tell yourself R27.

by Anonymousreply 30February 1, 2020 3:34 AM

Why would you care if they do jail time or not R29? Are you always an outraged old queen or do you do some good in the world for people who need it? I bet you hate Meghan Markle too. Just because. Oooh, she makes you mad!!

by Anonymousreply 31February 1, 2020 3:34 AM

No r23. Zillow estimates it between $16 and 17 million. I find the place very odd. Disneyfied Spanish Colonial on the outside, upscale & sterile resort conference center inside.

by Anonymousreply 32February 1, 2020 3:41 AM

Lo Siento....

by Anonymousreply 33February 1, 2020 3:56 AM

You just. describe Lori in a nutshell, R32!

by Anonymousreply 34February 1, 2020 4:05 AM

It's on the golf course of the Bel Air Country Club which is one of the most exclusive clubs in the US, in one of the most coveted parts of lower Bel Air. The land is worth as much as the house.

by Anonymousreply 35February 1, 2020 4:05 AM

That was basically an investment property for them. They buy and sell house every five years. They've been doing this the last 20 years they've been together.

Nothing new, their just doing what they've always done.

by Anonymousreply 36February 1, 2020 4:07 AM

#TeamHuffman

by Anonymousreply 37February 1, 2020 4:10 AM

They all need to do primetime sit down interviews to explain exactly what the hell they were doing. Especially if they want to resume their careers in entertainment.

You have to gave public goodwill and support if you want to have any meaningful career in showbiz. At least apologize for what you did, people love a comeback story.

by Anonymousreply 38February 1, 2020 4:16 AM

Or not

by Anonymousreply 39February 1, 2020 4:29 AM

Yeah, really r39!

Maybe their helicopter will crash next time.

by Anonymousreply 40February 1, 2020 5:13 AM

This is proof there's another real estate bubble.

Maybe some of Jared and Rump's Saudi, Russian, or Chinese buddies can buy it so Aunt Becky can flee to South America.

by Anonymousreply 41February 1, 2020 5:20 AM

[quote] Nothing new, their just doing what they've always done.

Oh, dear!!

by Anonymousreply 42February 1, 2020 9:46 AM

R29, I think they’ll get jail time only because Huffman did and she wasn’t a major player in this whole thing.

by Anonymousreply 43February 1, 2020 9:46 AM

She pled, they have to be convicted by a jury.

by Anonymousreply 44February 1, 2020 1:21 PM

Right, R44, which is why I think when (not if) they are, or they take their plea deal, she’ll do jail time.

by Anonymousreply 45February 1, 2020 1:29 PM

Good, I hope the have to live in a van down by the L.A. river.

by Anonymousreply 46February 1, 2020 2:01 PM

[quote]I'm afraid they're going to get off with no jail time and it pisses me off.

She's been unemployable coming on a year now. That is punishment enough. Trump stole money from kids with cancer and paid a fine.

by Anonymousreply 47February 1, 2020 5:00 PM

Their asses still need to do prison time. Her white ass is not special, neither is her funny looking husband.

by Anonymousreply 48February 1, 2020 5:03 PM

Death sentence or nothing!

Between the legal bills and the former production company that sold Hallmark TV movies out the wazoo, they have a lot less income and a lot more debts. Something tells me the house doesn't run on solar energy and it must cost a fortune to operate.

by Anonymousreply 54February 2, 2020 12:55 AM

Add in window replacement from all the golf balls flying.

by Anonymousreply 56February 2, 2020 9:40 AM

Are houses like these built specifically for rich folks who want to be that close to a golf course? Surely you still have to walk quite a ways to the clubhouse and the first hole? That doesn't seem particularly convenient.

I'm just flummoxed. Why wouldn't you at least fence off your property?

by Anonymousreply 57February 2, 2020 9:46 AM

"Between the legal bills and the former production company that sold Hallmark TV movies out the wazoo, they have a lot less income and a lot more debts."

And all of this for an entitled and dumb daughter who didn't even want to go to college and was and is constantly whining about the hardship.

Did they throw her out or is she still attending USC?

Bel Aire is beautiful but would NEVER live on a golf course. It offers zero privacy. I mean they are RIGHT ON the damn course. It's bizarre to me.

by Anonymousreply 60February 2, 2020 5:18 PM

I find it hilarious how Americans who generally don’t have walls around their houses are shocked that people would live on a golf course without any walls!!! Lol

by Anonymousreply 61February 2, 2020 5:30 PM

Walls and tall hedges are everywhere in LA.

by Anonymousreply 62February 2, 2020 5:34 PM

^Have you ever visited an American suburb? They all have huge fences around their houses.

by Anonymousreply 63February 2, 2020 5:36 PM

The point of living in an exclusive gated community is the ability to show off a spectacular house front and back. The most exclusive communities in the California do not have any barriers except planting in some cases between the golf course and the back yard, and that is generally kept to a minimum height so golfers can see the back yards and how amazing they are, and the views out to the golf course, and mountains are preserved from the home. California has no pool barrier requirement from the golf course if the community itself is gated. This is the exact opposite of Arizona which requires all manner of barrier around the pool, and the pool itself can be considered a barrier if the negative edge is code barrier height.

Places like these have no issues with the undesirables as they are very tightly controlled and the community itself walled. The only walls you will see are between the houses themselves, other than maybe some internal site privacy walls for a master courtyard and outdoor shower.

I am a landscape architect and I design for very wealthy clients; some neighbors and some the very people people discussed here at length. They have multiple homes, and many are here in the Coachella (not IE), Valley.

by Anonymousreply 64February 2, 2020 5:56 PM

^Interesting. I always thought privacy was the top concern of wealthy people.

by Anonymousreply 65February 2, 2020 6:06 PM

The community is exclusive, but this house is on a public street two houses off Sunset.

by Anonymousreply 66February 2, 2020 6:16 PM

R66 Wow, I didn't know that.

by Anonymousreply 67February 2, 2020 7:04 PM

[quote]Places like these have no issues with the undesirables as they are very tightly controlled and the community itself walled.

I don't care high high highfalutin you think these people are, they are still strangers in your back yard and shit people get accepted to country clubs everyday with the right money.

by Anonymousreply 68February 2, 2020 7:10 PM

Really, R6. The others on here are shooting from the hip and missing by a mile.

by Anonymousreply 69February 2, 2020 7:44 PM

Dammit. ^That’s supposed to be R26.

by Anonymousreply 70February 2, 2020 7:45 PM

R68, Some places that have homes on the golf course only allow members and their guests to play on the course. The members are the people that live there. The general public is not allowed to play at any price.

by Anonymousreply 71February 2, 2020 8:23 PM

I get that, but they are still strangers roaming your back yard. You think only pros play these places, there are people by your back door looking for their ball.

by Anonymousreply 72February 3, 2020 4:08 PM

I get Lori and Mossimo vibes from RHOBH Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky

by Anonymousreply 73February 3, 2020 4:10 PM

She should have stayed married to her Long Island Dentist first husband.

by Anonymousreply 74February 3, 2020 4:45 PM

You guys really don’t get how this works, do you?

by Anonymousreply 75February 3, 2020 5:18 PM

"I get that, but they are still strangers roaming your back yard. You think only pros play these places, there are people by your back door looking for their ball."

Correct. Very wealthy and famous strangers.

by Anonymousreply 76February 3, 2020 8:14 PM

to each his own. I would hate it.

by Anonymousreply 77February 4, 2020 5:56 AM

People would have to suck at golf and be drunk to be at your back door looking for their balls!

by Anonymousreply 78February 6, 2020 4:08 AM

[quote] and be drunk to be at your back door looking for their balls!

Ya know that actually happened to me once. Long story.

Well it turns out I had them the whole time.

by Anonymousreply 79February 6, 2020 10:42 AM

[quote]be drunk to be at your back door looking for their balls!

Not necessarily.

by Anonymousreply 80February 6, 2020 10:43 AM

Did you see the photos? Once again, do you think only pros play there? There is a sand trap in her backyard.

by Anonymousreply 81February 6, 2020 11:02 AM

Why isn’t she in prison yet? Is she still appealing?

by Anonymousreply 82February 6, 2020 11:02 AM

Appealing what? I didn’t think she was convicted yet.

by Anonymousreply 83February 6, 2020 3:20 PM

R83, I’m not sure. I haven’t been following, really. Huffman took her lumps already. I don’t know why Loughlin is fighting this. She’s not going to win and she’ll just wind up with no career.

by Anonymousreply 84February 6, 2020 3:25 PM

^The stakes are higher for Loughlin. Huffman paid $15k for a test and her husband was not involved. I doubt Loughlin would get a good deal and just a slap on the wrist. They are both involved and they paid a lot of money and did a lot of illegal shit to get their daughters into college. If a judge lets her get away with 2 weeks jail time and a small fine, I would be surprised (and very disappointed).
