I have noticed an unfortunate uptick in this type of journalism as of late. Today, the LA Times reported that people had flung themselves from the roof of the burning Barrington Plaza apartment building -- later proven untrue.

It's like people want to out-sensationalize each other for clicks. You expect this type of irresponsible journalism from sources like Buzzfeed and TMZ, but not reputable newspapers and media.

I was at work when all this went down by one thing i kept reading was how ABC was saying how his kids were all dead and of course that not being true. Don't know why they would go with that information without confirming it.
