The Craft (1996)

Growing up as a witchy gay kid in the 90's I swore by this movie. Skeet Ulrich was one of my first crushes because of it. Me and my friends would watch it once a month and then try and do our own black magick. There's been rumors and whispers of a remake, but nothing seems to have been set in stone yet. Every gay teenage boy should be required to watch it, along with Heathers and Welcome To The Dollhouse.

People often forget but DL icon Christine Taylor (Marcia in the Brady Bunch movies) had a small part in it as Rochelle's racist bully.

Still a classic and holds up OP.

It was a fun teen movie. Good luck with the remake. Not many juvenile actresses can represent [italic]crazy[/italic] like Fairuza Balk could.

I loved it but it would have been much better without Robin Tunney.

Fairuza Balk always reminds me of Frank N Furter.

Apparently it has been set in stone. This article states that filming has already wrapped and that the movie will be "spooky, timely, and relevant."

How many of the witches in the remake will be trans?

by Anonymousreply 8January 11, 2020 4:28 AM

R8, Only one that I know of. The actress's name is Zoey Luna and she is also Latina.

The remake will be shitty. They'll be Instagram hos and less edgy.

That was so poignant when Fairuza told Billy he was the whore and threw him off the roof. If it were as sadistically feminist as that it might rock!

I bind you, Zoe Lister-Jones, from doing harm...harm against other people and harm against yourself.

R4 ot many juvenile actresses can represent crazy like Fairuza Balk could.

R12 too late! One of the plot twists is that the bullies will all be transed using magic! Bahahahahaahaha!
