He's 40 now, and has been on Vera for about 10 years? I just started watching and I have a huge crush.
I remember him in that one off gay drama. He was the sacrificial lamb. I think it was called Paddington Junction.

Ah. Clapham Junction.
Guess he was on Vera only the first seasons. Last IMDB credits are 2017. Helas I guess his career faded away with the bloom of youth.

He was in Seasons (Series) 1-4 only.
Kenny Doughty has played DS Aiden Healy since Season (Series) 5.
R3 - The name of the movie was 'Clapham Junction.'

He directed one episode of "Vera" in 2018. He's working on his own feature called "Driven."

Oops, sorry. R4 went up while I was typing R5.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 10, 2020 7:39 PM |
IMDB says he was in only 16 episodes, though. How many episodes are in a season of that show?

Why did they dump him? He seems fine on this series. I'm on season 3. As an aside, this character Vera is hilarious.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 10, 2020 7:40 PM |
4. but each episode is LONG like 80-90 mins.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 10, 2020 7:41 PM |
Clapham Junction was simply one of the worst movies ever made.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 10, 2020 7:44 PM |
hehehe

Actually, it seems to be his second feature. Wiki says his first, "Orthodox", was completed in 2015. I guess he made a career change.

The scenes between the Treadaway twin and the neighbor have stayed with me. I don't remember much of the rest.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 10, 2020 7:48 PM |
Wiki also says that he played Kieran in "Gold Digger," with Julia Ormond and Ben Barnes.

That's a 2019 project.

That scene with Joseph Mawle and Luke Treadaway in 'Clapham Junction' is one of the hottest film scenes I have ever seen. It's better and hotter than most porn.

Clapham Junction was an odd film. It was as though the writer had written it a decade or more earlier and not bothered to update it. There were civil partnerships, but no one had a mobile phone.

The scene of them having sex. But if you're asking , I'm guessing it didn't affect you the same manner.
Sorry to derail David Leon's thread.

I thought similarly about "The History Boys." It seemed that it should have been set in the late 1950s/early 1960s.

Well finally got to Season 5. Joe - David Leon - is gone, replaced by Aiden - Kenny Doughty. Kenny is quite cute - and has a juicier Dad bod.
I hear Season 10 is on now. How the hell haven't they retired Vera - the character must be far past retirement.

FWIW, "Vera" is the quickest drinking-game show for getting shitfaced.
Take a drink each time she calls someone "Love."
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 20, 2020 9:25 PM |
He's cute

So far Vera herself drinks like a ----------- . I don't know a charming northumberland expression. Anyone?

R24, okay, pet!
I love this series, but I would smack her silly if she called me "Luv" or "Pet" the number of times she calls perfect strangers that.
David Leon is sex on a stick. I'd have Kenny Doughty for sloppy seconds!

My thought is that, in the real world, a boss wouldn't get away with her sarcasm and snark.
I like the episodes that have an obvious, arty/edgy cinematography. The season 4 episode about stag hunters had a lot of gorgeous shots.

You'd love the cinematography on 'Shetland.'

Thanks I'll check that out.
