Oh, come on. There have been a lot of unprepossessing actors; Philip Seymour Hoffman, Steve Buscemi, Jeff Goldblum, William H. Macy, Judd Hirsch, John C. Reilly, John Turturro, Paul Giamatti, Christopher Lloyd, to name a few. And I find it entirely plausible that someone who looked like Scarlett Johansson would be married to someone who looked like Adam Driver. Plenty of good looking women get married to fugly men. Never saw him before a Marriage story . The first thing I thought was “ok this guy is homely “ He grew on me as the movie went on . Not conventionally attractive but I really loved him in that movie .

I never watched Lena Dunham's show, but Adam Driver was excellent in Blackkklansmen. He's an interesting actor and I find him attractive. He has depth, character, and relatability in Marriage Story, which is why it resonated with people. He looks like Noah Baumbach, who is also intelligent and talented.

I just realized, some people like symmetry and some like asymmetry. I prefer things unique and off center.
