"Fay" had a great bit in one episode with a ditsy blonde at a party.
MAN: "Let me introduce you to Joel! He's in shoes..."
DITSY BLONDE (staring at Joel's feet): "Yes, I can see that."

Met her at an autograph show last year. Such a sweet woman. Brought my copy of the film she directed "Staying Together". She was so surprised and happy I had brought it. Gave me a hug. Nice moment.

I like her best in the role of Dinah Manoff’s mother.

Lou Grant, what film would you say was the best in your career?

Wrong, R17.
Her 19-year-old grandson, Dinah Manoff's oldest son, died in a car accident.
Very tragic. He was cute.
