I don't understand what separates it from other 80s dance-pop albums like, say, Madonna's debut, Janet's Control, etc. To me, it's on the same level as those. I know about his creepy relationship with Arnold Klein, who was a plastic surgeon and who would have to prescribe painkillers in the normal course of business. And I know about that crook Murray, who killed Jackson with Propofol after topping him up with doses of opiates and benzos that would kill most people. Was there also a corrupt dermatologist handing out opiates?

I'm not familiar with California law, but a DEA license is Federal. A physician must have a state license and a special DEA rider to obtain and dispense C-IIs like Demerol. Those aren't for dermatologists. If the doctor had been a neurologist or anesthesiologist, that's different. It's moot now because Jackson is dead. Also, his former dermatologist is reportedly the biological father of "Jackson's" children. BTW, Propofol is not a controlled substance. That's why it was developed.
