Is it possible that Trump is laying the groundwork for an “out”?
“He is too ill to continue as president.”
I am not the only one questioning how a non-emergency doctor’s appointment could become so necessary, so quickly, not the least because there is literally a physician on call at the White House at all times, and a small clinic within the facility. To go out of that environment means that “something” else is going on.

CNN also reporting the trip was not on Trump's private schedule as of yesterday
Earlier today on CNN, Dr. Sanjay Gupta said it's "a bit curious" that Trump went to Walter Reed for an unannounced visit. The W.H. said it was for a physical. Gupta wondered if the medical team had time to plan for his visit. Did they know he was coming ahead of time? (1/2)

I agree that nobody goes to the doctor on the weekend unless they’re sick.
He’s not going to Walter Reed to get his Adderall prescription refilled, Dr Feelgood does that.
He got his last physical nine months ago, so unless he’s in labor, that ain’t it. Also, someone on CNN mentioned when it’s a regular checkup for the President, they have to set it up way in advance for security reasons. He can’t just show up. The Secret Service has to go too. Also, reporters in the pool were not told where they were going, and were not allowed to tell anyone until they were done.
My guess is that it’s his blood pressure. If he called Dr Feelgood about it, he’s the one that probably told him to go to a real doctor. Probably didn’t want to be held liable when he dropped dead with 300/250 bp. They probably just gave him an XL dose of meds and an IV and waited it out.
I hope next week is even more infuriating, but why isn’t he on beta blockers? Dr Feelgood doesn’t know what they are? He seems like a prime candidate.
by Anonymous | reply 107 | November 17, 2019 2:58 AM |
He had a brown folder under his arm. My guess is it was the EKG results they probably did at the White House. They told him to take it with him. And he's not letting anybody else see them. I don't think he trusts anybody.

I guess this too. When the doctors' memo of his health checkup was released, I saw the footnote where his blood pressure medication, a rosuvastatin (Crestor) was upped to the maximum dose.

by Anonymous | reply 116 | November 17, 2019 3:46 AM |
So he is on a high dose of cholesterol....with his wide girth and the junk food he eats, I wouldn't doubt he has diabetes which increases his risk for heart attack. He probably had chest pain, they did an EKG which was abnormal so they took him to the hospital where they did tests. If he only stayed a few hours,, the test they did turned out normal or they were abnormal and he would need to stay overnight so he signed out AMA. I bet he signed out AMA.

r116 - yes, the right combination / dosage of barbiturates.
What is AMA?
I'm following a thread where people are putting together clues:
-- Seems he got agitated last night. -- He suffers from high blood pressure. -- He takes stimulants. -- Mostly like was seen by WH medical staff first -- He didn't chopper over, instead went in a caravan.
The conclusion (absent any more info) is that he had a panic attack of sorts that combined with high blood pressure and abuse of stimulants spooked the WH med staff. So, in an abundance of caution, they sent him to Walter Reed, where in a controlled setting they lowered the blood pressure until he was ready to return to WH.
abundance of caution=he'll be okay, but let's make sure we're not stuck with body if he isn't.
BTW, Trump is histrionic enough to exaggerate symptoms to his doctors.

He must see that the adoration of some of his deplorables is starting to wane. The 2016 election hinged on 80k votes in PA, WI, and MI; he can't afford to lose 1% of his fans.

Trump's death is no help unless it's from a fall from Air Force One in which he lands on Pence and Mother.
But if Trump is suffering that at least is fine with me. "Chest discomfort" says someone from "The Hill."
I want him to go slowly, preferably in a prison nut ward.

---Video of Trump heading to Walter Reed below, anyone notice anything? Motorcade without local or State police escort and without a Secret Service Advance Team. Secret Service did not do an advance sweep of the hospital.
---Trump got there at 3PM.
---Walter Reed will not make any comment.
---Was seen walking in, didn't need assistance.
---No one has seen him LEAVE Walter Reed; no one believes WH
---The White House is selling his health hard, Press Secretary and Judge Jeanine were talking about his energy, vitality, etc. Fox News states that "President underwent part of annual physical, WH says."
---He has not tweeted, appears to be "voice of staffer"

-- Visited a great family of a young man under major surgery at the amazing Walter Reed Medical Center. Those are truly some of the best doctors anywhere in the world. Also began phase one of my yearly physical. Everything very good (great!). Will complete next year.

A. He doesn't have the wealth he claims he does.

C. Putin and other Russian oligarchs own that debt.
D. A substantial part of the little income he has coming in is from illegal activities, including money laundering and drug/human trafficking. Of course, that won't be on the tax returns, and since it isn't included in income, this is where they'll nail his fat ass, just like Al Capone.

r208 I agree. We have a clip of him walking briskly to the SUV taking him to Walter Reed.
Trump is very histrionic, he is the very type to exagerrate symptons to his MD. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't insist on going to Walter Reed to get out of the WH.
by Anonymous | reply 261 | November 17, 2019 8:40 PM |
My guess is that he had a resting EKG at the WH and maybe there were some irregularities, so they sent him to Walter Reed for a nuclear imaging stress test, which they probably don't do at the WH. They inject a dye in your artery at your elbow notch and then you have a test at rest and then walking or running on a treadmill and they compare the resting and stress test results. I've had one of these a couple of times. If he genuinely left after a couple of hours, it was probably not serious.

R207 mentioned gall bladder issues. I think Trump has already had his gall bladder taken out. I'm speculating. But I know people, younger than Trump, less fat than Trump, who had gall bladders taken out.
Gall bladder surgery (unless it has burst) is not life-threatening.

I seriously doubt that he still abuses adderall. Adderall is an appetite suppressant and a metabolic stimulant. People lose weight on adderall. People do, however, gain a lot of weight after stopping adderall.
Now ask yourself...does he look like someone whose appetite is being suppressed and whose metabolism is being stimulated?

This thread is kind of dumb conjecture. Most of the people posting have been to the hospital for chest discomfort, rapid heart rate, reflux or kidney stones or high blood pressure. Old white men, over 60. You're mostly the same, health wise. That's how you come up with these things. Lots of 40 year olds have been to hospital with a racing heart, in need of fluids. (me) Drugs are fine most of the time. I get the fantasy and wish fulfillment, but you reveal more about your own health than what we know of Trumps. by Anonymous | reply 284 | November 18, 2019 4:57 AM |
A resting EKG is the first thing they do on someone over 50 when they enter emergency. It's not a big deal - unless it says so. It takes a real two minutes.
by Anonymous | reply 285 | November 18, 2019 5:00 AM |
They probably did an EKG at the WH the minute he complained of chest discomfort then rushed him to the hospital when they saw abnormalities in the EKG.

Who are you R287? What exactly did you post previously to show that you worked in the medical field? It's not really a field you know? Regardless my post wasn't dumb. It was as accurate as any other here. Most old white men are just talking about their own experiences, as they do, ad nauseum on Datalounge. And not a single thing I mentioned was out of the ordinary or life and death. Yet they all might require a hospital visit. Old white men are always have regurgitation and chest pressure, rapid heartbeat and fainting spells. Gay ones even more with their hysteria. Kidney stones make old men cry and roll around like a weak woman giving birth with her feet tied. Funny R287. Where in the field are you?

Possibly, when I was a teenager I had terrible sinus congestion and practically lived on Actifed, which is basically the same thing as Sudafed. By the time I was 23 I had swelling in the extremities that turned out to be high blood pressure and was told to stop Actifed immediately. Had to go into the clinic every day for a week and my BP went down pretty quickly, and I'm still getting yelled at by my current doctor 25 years later about never taking it ever again.
I cannot imagine taking lots of pseudoephedrine at that age with that diet and that level of stress.

my guess is MRI. Very likely ,he's been plagued by heartburn, and chest discomfort off and on for a couple of weeks and he had a really bad bout of it in the past few days, really agonizing discomfort at times and probably so much anxiety he's afraid to fall asleep. He probably felt sick on Saturday so they thought they could run him to WR for an MRI and one of t hose tests that go down your throat to check his esophagus. THey gave him medication confirmed he was not having a heart attack, and then sent him home.
OTOH, they could have discovered some irregularities. I don't think they gave him a stress test. He'd have needed more time for that. I doubt they'd have put him on a treadmill for one. He would have needed one that they inject to simulate exercise and those take longer. He would have needed at least 4 -6 hours to get his preliminary vitals, hook him up, inject him. Wait 20 minutes then start monitoring him. The they have to feed him water, to get rid of the drug, and continue to observe him. Between that and an MRI, it would take a while.

He doesn't have stress because he's never worried or wanted for anything. He was born rich and has been rich his whole life. Women let him grab their pussies and don't report it to police as rape.
His only physical vanity is from the neck up. Tanning bed skin and a swirl of dyed blond hair.
It was revealed last year his arteries have serious plaque issues and that means heart disease. He's overindulged and spoiled himself for years. Now it's time to 'pay the piper'.
by Anonymous | reply 312 | November 18, 2019 3:38 PM |
Maybe they doped him up because he was stressed out. But this is definitely setting the stage for a "health issue " if that is something they want to explore. His Deplorables will consider him a martyr, a victim of the abuse of the Liberal Press and he can disappear for a few months then have his own TV show. All assuming he makes a deal to resign if all charges are dropped. He can then delude himself into believing that he left "on his own terms" and they did not force him out. LOL!
My guess is he knows things that indicate he doesn't have the level of support in Congress he wants us to believe he has. McConnell is probably getting a lot of pressure and has stopped answering Trump's three or four phone calls every day. The Ukraine situation is bad, but Trump's been doing this bribery/extortion thing regularly for other things too. What pisses me off is that members of Congress knew, his staff knew, his cabinet knew, and they all allowed him to commit impeachable offenses, and shit on his Constitutional oath.
Wonder what Pompeo is up to? Because Mike Pompeo is a fucking Harvard Lawyer. He is not dumb. He's a fool, but not stupid. And he knows very well, as a former member of Congress, exactly what Trump has done and what meets the standard of criminal behavior. He's anAcessory. At the very least he needs to get thrown the fuck out along with Barr.

I see Morning Joe is reporting that Donnie was NOT observed leaving Walter Reed, has not in fact been seen since he walked in on Saturday afternoon, and the only events on his schedule are closed to the press. Hunny, The shit is raining down on Donald. The courts have been ruling against him. His poll numbers are in the toilet. Republicans are losing elections. Most of the people who are testifying were appointed by him and are defying his orders not to cooperate. And they are hanging him every time they open their mouths.
Rudy is now under criminal investigation and his buddies Igor and Lev have been charged with crimes. The whole Ukrainian caper has been blown wide open. He's being investigated in an Impeachment proceeding. His taxes which will show a lot of falsified information are getting ready to be reviewed by Congress. And behind the scenes McConnell is having a hard time keeping the Senate in line.
Now if he's getting indigestion or high blood pressure, that is to be expected.

If the WH has a fully equipped mini hospital, the only reason to go to a real hospital is an emergency or a special examination like an CT, MRT, angiography or coloscopy. Every first year nurse can get a blood sample at the WH.

He’s probably badly constipated and has been going to the toilet constantly straining to relieve himself. They’ve probably had to take him to the hospital so they could stick a camera up his asshole and try to find out what’s causing the problem.

I suspect this is yet another easy and cheap mechanism to distract people/media from investigations.
Trump's handlers simply toss out leads that beg to be followed-up. Since the number of reporters/journalists is finite, diverting focus from exposing the truly bad stuff is exactly what Trumpers want.

R389, why do they vent someone?
What we know is his shirt collar was loose when he went to the hospital (couldn’t breathe?). Then later he’s hoarse (vented because he couldn’t breathe?).
What does that mean? They don’t vent people for the hell of it. Did his heart stop?

by Anonymous | reply 385 | November 19, 2019 11:50 PM |
R385, I’m not a doctor either, but I think they normally just put people on oxygen with a mask.
Venting is more invasive. My dad had that, and they kept him knocked out the whole time, because people get claustrophobic and try to rip it out, and they can injure themselves.
by Anonymous | reply 386 | November 20, 2019 12:22 AM |
You only need to vent when you use curare because it prevents breathing. And you only use curare when you need to cut through muscles (otherwise they'll have spasms). I think they also use curare for ECTs so that your body doesn't convulse.

by Anonymous | reply 391 | November 20, 2019 3:39 AM |
I really don't think they vented him in such a short period of time. My guess is Trump is having GI issues exacerbated by stress and poor diet. Maybe even gall stones or an ulcer. They may have stuck one of those tubes down his throat to do some kind of test on his esophagus, or maybe they gave him the EKG at home but since he was complaining of pain took him to hospital for MRI, etc. I'm thinking gall bladder attack. Sometimes the pain is so bad they say it feels like a heart attack.
by Anonymous | reply 392 | November 20, 2019 4:16 AM |
Oh really R392? You sound like an expert. Nutjob.
by Anonymous | reply 393 | November 20, 2019 4:18 AM |
I’ve had gall bladder attacks, R392. You do think at first it could be a heart attack. I got really severe pain In back, between my shoulder blades, which is common.
However, it’s pretty easy to diagnose. I diagnosed it myself after about five minutes on the internet. Heart attack pain is actually different.
I ended up having my gall bladder removed after passing a few stones. I was definitely able to walk around and do a lot of stuff after a couple of days, although I was sore if I bent over. It’s laparoscopic surgery and a very small incision, which helps. I still was able to get around okay until the day before being hospitalized for the surgery. And I had pancreatitis which makes it much worse. But I was vomiting uncontrollably on the way to the hospital. You can’t hide that. Even if you don’t do that, there’s incredible pain. You can’t hold still, much less walk calmly in the middle of an attack. You have to wait until it’s over. Which is only an hour or two if memory serves.
I really don’t think he had that. You get over it so quickly. You might not want to run all over, but you could definitely make a show in front of a helicopter. You can walk around. I cleaned the house the day after my surgery.
by Anonymous | reply 394 | November 20, 2019 4:49 AM |
My father had COPD. He was tethered to oxygen 24/7 and in the final 8 months of his life he was hospitalized and they had to vent him several times. It is very hard on the body to vent someone and very hard to get them off of it. Finally, they put a trachea tube in his throat and hooked him up to the vent that way. When he was stronger, they could easily unsnap the vent from the trach tube. He'd cap the trach tube so he could talk, but eventually he stopped talking. two months later he was gone. If Trump was in the hospital for about two hours there wasn't enough time to put him on a ventilator. If his problem was respiratory, maybe there are other things they could have done.
But I believe it was GI related. Just my INFORMED speculation. I'm not an expert. Just going by what my dad and my older brother went through. My Bro had a gall bladder attack at 53 and thought he was having a heart attack. Sometimes with gall bladder there's vomiting and the bile and crap you throw up, dry heaves, etc. can make you hoarse. Will say my brother, who had his own business, ( he was a contractor who did home renovations,) had terrible eating habits. He'd eat hot dogs from the cart at Home Depot. He was always grabbing MacDonald's and sodas on the job. He might go a whole day on three bags of potato chip and orange soda. Did it for years. Come home dead tired, get up at 5 AM and start all over again.
by Anonymous | reply 395 | November 20, 2019 4:57 AM |
I once went to the hospital with my dad and a guy across the aisle was passing a kidney stone. You could tell immediately what was going on because he was vomiting and writhing in agony. It looks terrible, but once you’ve passed it, you’re better really quickly. Kidney stones are even more painful than gall stones.
If it was a gall stone, I think they might tell us, because it’s no big deal and recovery is so fast. Trump would be going around bragging about how he was recovering quickly because he is the Strongest Man Ever.
I tend to think it’s something more frightening.

The plot thickens--not only did Trump's doctor accompany him to Texas and stay at his side the whole time, Trump used the rear belly steps to enter and exit Air Force One.
Look how gingerly he's going down those steps, that looks like a man who just got a stent or two inserted through his groin.

After his meltdown/confession/tirade on F&F this morning, I think his people (Ivanka etc) *told* him he was going to the hospital for part of his physical and really it was a psych hold. He seems to be in and out of lucidity, mostly out of it, at this point and anyone who has had to deal with an older relative with dementia co-occurring with chronic mental illness will recall the situation getting bad enough that sometimes tricking the person into doing something for their own well-being becomes the only solution short of calling paramedics or getting a senior services case worker involved. He was probably furious while he was locked up under observation, but has retreated back to the lie that he had a physical now that he's back in his own space, like a cat.
by Anonymous | reply 409 | November 23, 2019 12:06 AM |

Agree with R405. There were rumors of chest discomfort, then no one saw him going back into the WH...they probably used a disguised vehicle like a utility truck because he had to be wheeled into the WH on a gurney. The next day he received visitors in his own quarters, not the Oval Office as he was probably on bedrest that day.
Some people said he didn't go to the hospital for chest pain because he was walking into the vehicle. He could have refused to go to the hospital if they put him on a guerney with oxygen so they let him walk to make appearance he was okay

R425, my dad had congestive heart failure and his mouth was always open like that. It means the person is not taking in enough oxygen. At night when he slept, it was open even more.
Trump’s mouth is open at the top of the stairs. If he’s disembarking, he hasn’t gone downstairs yet and he’s already short on oxygen. That’s not good. Anything under 90% oxygen intake at the hospital, and they put you on oxygen.
FYI, if you have any surgery, including minor surgery, you have to go through a cardio test to make sure your heart can take it. Usually you have to take that test, or re-take it, every six months or a year, I forget. So if he wanted some surgery that required anesthesia, and his test results aren’t good enough, they’re not just going to automatically do it, unless it’s emergency or urgently needed.

R435, Trump strikes me as one of those people (usually men in my experience) with an irrational fear of hospitals/doctors/medical procedures. As if it were voodoo or witchdoctor mojo. He considers himself so superior to mere mortals that he won't submit to ministrations that he doesn't understand and refuses to study. If he were unconscious, his wife (or other designated next of kin) could authorize doctors to do what's necessary to save his life, but he's not about to seriously consider even minor surgery if it's up to him.

R435, sounds like your mother had some specific condition that was easily fixed. Generally, there is no cure and people slowly die from congestive heart failure. They drown. Their lungs fill with fluid because their heart isn’t strong enough to clear it.
It’s possible your mother had a pacemaker or something. My dad had one, but died with it. People think having a pacemaker means their troubles are over. It helps some people quite a bit, but if organ failure in other organs has already started from the weak heart, the other organs are already damaged. My dad ended up having total organ failure, with a pacemaker. Everything just quit all at once.

Tiny hands still hasn’t completed that physical.
It’s been more than six months since President Donald Trump claimed to have started his annual physical at Walter Reed hospital but the White House is declining to explain why he has yet to complete the yearly doctor’s examination.
Senior administration officials did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment about the delay — despite Trump announcing this week he was taking an unproven and potentially dangerous drug after being exposed to an aide who tested positive for coronavirus.
Asked in early March about when he would complete his physical, the president told reporters, “I’m going probably over the next 90 days. I’m so busy, I can’t do it.”

Add the lifts and the adult diaper and you wonder how this person remains upright.

I was thinking recently that there was something weird with how he de-planes, and stands, and I thought it was because he’s always alone. He is very rarely with someone else. But then he stands like this, yes.

This guy thinks it’s his lift-shoes.
May I just say, a man who wears makeup, and so very badly, is evidencing a hint that he probably shouldn’t be hired for any position of responsibility, especially not President, without very careful vetting. Sloppy vanity, and the sloppiness is important here, just screams “HR nightmare”.
There are a million things wrong with Trump. A million such “tells”. Lift-shoes and sloppy makeup are just one of them.

The leaning forward just might be his way of hiding the most telltale sign of his morbid obesity: his huge protruding fat belly. Fooling no one, as usual.

I am a man who doesn't have an irrational fear of doctors. It's because I know the truth - that 30 to 40 percent of the time they just make shit up. I had a few M.D.s tell me this. So I take what they say with a grain of salt.

Lifts in your shoes do not make you lean forward. Your back easily makes that correction.
No one would be able to wear Jimmy Choos or Louboutins which are much, much, higher than any lifts could ever be.

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
