I am a gay man but I wear no jewelry, I have tried chains and rings a few times but it is just too much trouble and too uncomfortable. I don't see how you people who wear multiple rings can stand it, it would drive me crazy.

I usually don't wear any jewelry, save for a few vintage wristwatches when getting dressed up, but sometimes wear vintage Japanese beads I was given some thirty years ago by a friend. Why? Because I like them, and they remind me of my friend.

I've always been fascinated with this collar worn by Aunt Alicia in Gigi. It looks darn uncomfortable but certainly covers a scraggly neck. Does this sort of neck covering have a name ?

R11, that choker style was made fashionable in the late 1800’s by then Queen Alexandria, wife of Edward VII. She had a tracheotomy and used very high necklines to cover the scar. She was a fashion icon of her day and much admired. Her use of chokers and very high necklines started a trend and everybody started wearing them.

I usually wear a chain with a cross. Silver. Sometimes on dressier occasions I wear a gold herringbone chain.

I wear orgone pendants, through always under my shirt. They're for me and me alone.

I have a heavy link solid gold chain I bought in the '80s when gold was crazy cheap. I don't wear it often, usually casual events with an open collar shirt. I have a couple of bracelets but I never wear more than one piece of jewelry.
