"Crazy In Love" by Beyonce is one of the Greatest Pop Songs from the past 20 years

I like this song but I hate that it’s STILL overplayed, with its remixes and all.

Iconic sound

It was a hit back in the day, but like Usher's "Yeah!" or Britney's "Toxic" it is played the fuck out. But I will give "Yeah!" props because EVERY straight bar that plays RnB will always play that song at some time in the night.

It was the last really great song she did.

"Sweat Dreams" "Upgrade U" and "Formation" are all top notch songs.

When CIL came out RnB-Pop was toping the charts. Even Britney put out her Toxic album with a more " Urban" flavor. This is also around the time of Kanye and Ciera's rise, coupled with Usher's Confessions album. It was a smooth nostalgic music moment in time.

CIL isn’t R&B

CIL is was a huge hit, but Baby Boy will always be my favorite Beyonce cut. Sensuous and tantalizing, like good sex. She looked amazing in the video as well.

When I think of iconic pop songs of the past 20 years, I think of Bad Romance, Firework, Umbrella, Someone Like You, Toxic, and Single Ladies.

Not saying I like all those songs, but those are what come to mind. For female pop stars anyway.

Love on Top is my favorite Bey pop song. But don't cheat yourself. She has so much excellent music.
