R17 one article I read said that the family was suspicious about the fact that the "child" couldn't speak a word of Russian or Ukrainian, and spoke perfect English without a hint of foreign accent.

The story is all very fuzzy and screwy at this point, but I think the "child" may be an American con artist (or born in Ukraine and raised in the States).

Any update on this?
