First Post-Debate Dem Poll Shows Joe Biden With a 12 Point Lead Over Bernie Sanders

Sorry, but this one lumps the sheep-like black support for Biden in South Carolina with the other states.

Biden is the sort of Democrat that even Republicans still capable of being shamed might vote for. That is why he is kicking Trump's ass in the national polls.
Our biggest hurdle right now is the Millennial and Gen Z voters, not the Republican ones, the Democratic ones. They are generations not used to getting their own way, and it's just possible that enough of them will instagram-vote, will twitter-vote, for some fringe ultra-woke TP candidate that Trump will pull off upset number 2. Don't say it's not possible, because it already happened and we all watched and we are all now suffering through the consequences.

"not used to not getting their own way" ^^^

Biden will be the nominee. Older black voters aren’t leaving him

Why are they “sheep-like”?

Any day now Biden might pull out a pair of steel marbles and spend an hour complaining about the spare key that allowed the strawberries to be stolen. Bernie isn't likely to do this.

[QUOTE]Bernie isn't likely to do this.
You know what else he isn’t likely to do? Win the Democratic presidential nomination.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 16, 2019 8:06 PM |
And following up on that, it's totally ass backward. If anyone is going to rant Queeg-like, it's Bernie, NOT Joe.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 16, 2019 8:21 PM |
[quote]Bernie isn't likely to do this.
True.
Bernie's more likely to grab handfuls of those ball bearings and fling them full force at his audience/staff, while raving and swearing and spitting about the fucking strawberries.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 16, 2019 8:29 PM |
Biden doesn’t stand a chance.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 16, 2019 8:40 PM |
Like she who was supposed to win, Biden has way too much dirty laundry. And he's showing signs of mental breakdown, worse than his usual gaffes. Bernie could have beat Trump last time, but after throwing in for Hillary he lost too much support to win this time. Maybe Warren... but Trump would have a field day with Pocohantas. I think you guys are screwed.
We have our own tragically lacklustre election going on in Canada. We're screwed too. I'm reaching the point of why bother I'm sick of the entire soap opera.

Biden and Booker could win?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | September 16, 2019 10:30 PM |
No, Bernie is likely to wipe the national fucking stage with Dump’s rat hair whilst simultaneously drop kicking the fat orange fuck into oblivion.
No matter what the detractors may feebly attempt to spew, Bernie is not only fighting for social democracy, the nomination and Republicans- he’s fighting the whole goddamn establishment on BOTH sides and an extremely biased and bought out media, which is hardly mainstream and nothing but corporatized. Still, he sits pretty at #1 and #2, depending on which of the myriad polls you subscribe to.
As Democrats, we wouldn’t have as progressive a platform were it not for Bernie in 2016. Spin it however the fuck you want, but that is the truth.

Bernie's not even a Democrat. So fuck him!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | September 17, 2019 6:16 AM |
Depressing. Not that he's leading Bernie but that he is leading at all. We are riding to a fall.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 17, 2019 7:10 AM |
I just want Biden to win because of the treatment he's getting in the press. Literally we have a four year old in the white house and attacking the person, as of now, who seems like the best chance to beat him seems the correct course of action? Nope.
I'd pick Warren or Pete, btw. But I just want to win.

Yes. Not certain he can this time after being used for three years as one of the many alibis the Hillfans have used to excuse her failure. Nonetheless he remains appealing.

The Berniecrats say everyone who likes strawberries is a corporatist DINO!
Of course Bernie has NEVER BEEN A DEMOCRAT AT ALL! He should know!

Bernie would have been run over by truck had he been the Democratic candidate in 2016. Remember he was treated with kid gloves by both Hillary and Trump in the primary, by Hillary because she wanted to keep the Democrats unified, and by Trump because he DESPERATELY wanted to run against Bernie.
Why?
[quote]2.The Republicans had major opposition research ready to launch on Bernie Sanders that would have made his numbers drop quickly significantly in the polls. But Bernie was never attacked by Hillary’s team, nor by the GOP. Ask yourself why and the reason is obvious. The GOP wanted to run against Bernie. They knew they had far more volatile stuff to dump on him that the whimpering “emails, emails, emails” chant that had lost all its pizazz. Their strategy was to leave Bernie alone because the better Bernie looked, the worse Hillary looked. Newsweek’s Kurt Eichenwald laid out some of that oppo research and this is what he found:
[quote]Here are a few tastes of what was in store for Sanders, straight out of the Republican playbook: He thinks rape is A-OK. In 1972, when he was 31, Sanders wrote a fictitious essay in which he described a woman enjoying being raped by three men. Yes, there is an explanation for it — a long, complicated one, just like the one that would make clear why the Clinton emails story was nonsense. And we all know how well that worked out.
[quote]Then there’s the fact that Sanders was on unemployment until his mid-30s, and that he stole electricity from a neighbor after failing to pay his bills, and that he co-sponsored a bill to ship Vermont’s nuclear waste to a poor Hispanic community in Texas, where it could be dumped. You can just see the words “environmental racist” on Republican billboards. And if you can’t, I already did. They were in the Republican opposition research book as a proposal on how to frame the nuclear waste issue.
[quote]Also on the list: Sanders violated campaign finance laws, criticized Clinton for supporting the 1994 crime bill that he voted for, and he voted against the Amber Alert system. His pitch for universal health care would have been used against him too, since it was tried in his home state of Vermont and collapsed due to excessive costs. Worst of all, the Republicans also had video of Sanders at a 1985 rally thrown by the leftist Sandinista government in Nicaragua where half a million people chanted, “Here, there, everywhere/the Yankee will die,’’ while President Daniel Ortega condemned “state terrorism” by America. Sanders said, on camera, supporting the Sandinistas was “patriotic.”
[quote]The Republicans had at least four other damning Sanders videos (I don’t know what they showed), and the opposition research folder was almost 2-feet thick. (The section calling him a communist with connections to Castro alone would have cost him Florida.) In other words, the belief that Sanders would have walked into the White House based on polls taken before anyone reallyattacked him is a delusion built on a scaffolding of political ignorance.

Joe should have promised more unattainable freebies. He's too logical, practical, and decent for the Bros. They're in a crisis! They borrowed money and they to pay it back! They need free healthcare, daycare, college, housing, and legal drugs. Life is so hard for them.

Bernie never stopped ranting and raving. He comes across like a nut maniac, not counting what he says.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 26, 2020 8:29 PM |
This article is from Sept 2019. Bernie alarms me- he's almost as divisive as Trump, but the OP is suggesting something that is not happening.
