This show was utter shit. It would have worked if it had taken place in the 70s or 80s, not present day.
The Catholic family schtick grew tiresome after the first episode.
And they never explained why the main character (the gay kid) was Mexican.

Even as an Irish Catholic, i thought the Irish Catholic thing was a little one note and too specific. I also hated being Irish Catholic - so maybe it struck a cord. A shame - as I’d like Savage to make a lot of money on something. He has done a lot of good for gay rights and is a great debater.
