Newest Windows 10 Update Takes FIVE HOURS To Install
Just to let everyone know, as that is how long it took for my installation. Right now, I don't really see any drastic change or difference.
So when you get that pop-up box saying "Please update now" just make sure you update when you are doing something else, as it will take five hours.

I don't like the way the new file display.
Also, those kids need to get off my lawn.

Mine took two hours, though it's true that 90% of my HD is filled with porn. Another laptop I updated today was finished within 30 minutes.

Thank you, op for this psa. I did not know and click update, which then took 24hrs and still nothing. Does anyone know how to disable the update and notification completely? I'm perfectly happy with windows 7, but it's just 10 everywhere these days.

I've tried several times to disable automatic update, both with and without support, and have been unsuccessful. Now, whenever it updates, I go into settings and delete the updates.

Maybe if you uninstall Real Player it will work!

Speaking of Real Player. I Googled it and Real Player is still a thing.

I'm not terribly computer savvy so I'm going to have to get some help with this, but I installed Windows 10 in January because I was getting messages that previous Windows editions will no longer be supported. Now the Internet on my desktop (I use Chrome) is wonky and keeps crashing. I never had this problem before and I'm pissed about it.

My immediate thought was, Who the fuck still has Windows? But then I remembered I have to ship my work laptop off for a replacement with Windows 10.
It's only get-off-my-lawn companies and get-off-my-lawn individuals (obsessed with their Norton Anti-Virus).

What an absurd statement. Most everyone here in Europe uses Windows. Nearly the entire public sector as well.

I desperately hate it. All my Excel macros at work are screwed up, and the Helpdesk hasn't been able to help.
