Possibly but I doubt it, R62. The people who come here to talk trash about whatever celebrity they're obsessed with IMAGINE their celebrity has come here to specifically rage against their posts, but it's highly unlikely.

In the Tig Notaro case, however, the lady who has been harassing Tig in real life used to come here constantly and post with sockpuppets and say ridiculous things, and because she's been taken to course, it's possible that Tig's attorneys or publicists contacted DL because of what was said. Threats and doxxing, mostly. So that's one case where, if I heard DL was asked to remove threads, I might actually believe it.

Even at its best the real, genuine gossip at Datalounge was like 1% of all the comments posted. These days you'd rather round it down to 0% than being able to round it up to 1%. But some, like me really were happy to wade through all the comments and find these gold nuggets of gossip.
