The first two shows are rescheduled for October while the third is cancelled completely.
Good. Nobody wants to see that grizzled hoe anyway,

Per Madame X herself:
[quote]Madame X is a perfectionist and wants to give you the most unique, magical, and musical experience. She underestimated the amount of time it would take to bring this kind of intimate theatrical experience to you and wants it to be perfect!!! Thank you so much for your understanding.

Cue the "She's-not-selling!" trolls.

I love the Madame X character! She's so cool!
I hope she continues with this character on her next album.

Even Madonna doesn’t care about Madonna anymore:

[quote]Madame X debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 with 95,000 album-equivalent units, of which 90,000 were pure album sales. It is Madonna's ninth US number-one album. Madonna also topped the Billboard Artist 100 chart for the first time since its launch in 2014.
MADAME X is a ture HIT. Stop saying it's a flop because that is untrue.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 28, 2019 1:12 AM |
"MADAME X is a true hit" should be what is in R13.
GOD CONTROL is her most socially relevant song ever. We gays should be supporting her, not tearing Madame X down!

Will the concert feature some fancy footwork?

Madame X will be dancing in high style, no doubt.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 28, 2019 1:16 AM |
She gave the album away with tickets. It’s the fast drop out of the Top 200 in just 2 weeks in history. Next! She hasn’t had a real hit in a decade. Her face and career is a disaster.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 28, 2019 1:17 AM |
I hope they sell Madame X eyepatches at the shows!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 28, 2019 1:19 AM |
Has she ever delayed before?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 28, 2019 1:19 AM |
They sell those awful eyepatches on her web site. No one wants them. She’s playing tiny theaters and can’t give the tickets away.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | August 28, 2019 1:21 AM |
She canceled the last dates of her last tour. That’s the reason for this mini tour. She barely sold the last one. They gave tickets away due to her contract stipulation stating that she will play to full capacity no matter what. She wasn’t taking any chances this time. Unfortunately she can’t even sell out small venues either.

The backup dancers will be doing all the work this time around. Once you hit 60 it's too goddamn easy to break a hip!

There are no eyepatches for sale on the Madame X website.
I do like this t-shirt, though...

Touring theatres at silly prices seems like a bad idea to me, especially for someone like Madonna who does not have a golden voice or instrumental skills that might make an "intimate" show pop.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 28, 2019 2:10 AM |
"She gave the album away with tickets."
You're such a fucking liar. The album was not given away with tickets. When buying tickets, you were given the option of adding on an album per ticket bought. You stl had to pay extra for the album. I know this because I bought tickets but not the album because I knew they wouldn't ship the album before its street date. They did not give me a copy of the album. Only people who paid for the album at the time they bought tickets received the album as part of that transaction.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 28, 2019 2:15 AM |
R30 is such a fucking liar. The album was given away—for free—with the purchase of a ticket.
Madonna Madame X Album Bundle
Each ticket purchased online for the upcoming Madame X 2019 tour comes with a CD copy of the upcoming new album 'Madame X'. After your ticket purchase, you'll receive an additional email in the coming weeks with instructions on how to redeem your album.

She's destroyed her face and thirty years in still seems to get dressed in the dark. She's a total wreck!
Is she too cheap to simply hire a stylist who knows how to dress and style a woman?
It's sad and true she resembles Mae West more and more each outing.

by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 28, 2019 6:36 AM |
She absolutely bundled the CD with each ticket sale. And she has no problem selling out tiny theaters. And the new album sucks.
So tired of the “she can’t sell out the tiny theaters!” Trolls. I think I said this last time, but Cyndi Lauper just sold out two nights in a row at the Hollywood bowl at 18,000 each. Weird Al sold out the bowl two nights in a row as well. Air supply just filled a 3,000 seat venue last week in LA. Madonna isn’t going to have trouble filling the 1800 seat theater.

She probably doesn't quite have the choreography for Human Nature, Holiday and Music down yet. You know, the only old songs she'll be doing on this tour.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 29, 2019 1:07 PM |
What is her deal with doing “Human Nature” on every single tour?! She always sounds terrible when she does it too. Ironically, “Human Nature” was the first single she ever released that flopped and didn’t break into the Billboard Top 40, effectively ending her 12 year streak of hit singles. .

One of the sad things about a limited tour like this is that people do travel from far and wide. And it’s often much much cheaper to buy non refundable. For some of these people it might be the only vacation they’ve been on in years. Incidentally if the show isn’t ready it’s not ready. Some elements need to be constructed....and she’s a perfectionist meaning she won’t just go out the and put on a scaled back show until the items arrive or are finished.
