In other words, it’s not a physical problem and it does not require medication. I think what you’re describing is common for a lot of older men. As our social/sexual lives begin to slow down, we begin masturbating more frequently. This, of course, often tends to result in trouble with erections.

Thanks for the considered response R7. I am aware that anxiety is part of the problem. But I don't think that's the whole reason. I have lately had a couple of very satisfying encounters, even without maintaining an super hard erection. I certainly didn't feel like it was a waste of time or a failure. Although I can get erect when I masturbate, my erection doesn't last very long after I climax. I understand our bodies change as we age, and I'm not expecting porn star hardons. if the ED drugs work when you're alone and masturbating but not with another guy (either partner or hookup) the problem is mental/emotional and not physical and more or different drugs are unlikely to help. performance anxiety and nervousness are bone deflaters.

Yes, r19, I know part of it is psychological. However, even when I am alone, I don't get bone stiff. Hard enough to reach orgasm, but not hard enough for intercourse. GoodRx isn't a scam. It's a pharmacy discount card where you take the card (or you can use the phone app), and your physician's prescription, to a pharmacy, and you get the GoodRx price for the medication. At this time, GoodRx's price for 30-100mg sildenafil (viagra) is about $30. You should be able to split those in half, meaning you pay only 50¢ a dose.

Viagra is stronger than Bluechew. Same ingredient.

You can go up to 100mg with Viagra, but chances are you need even less than that. It causes greater headaches than Cialis, though. I can’t believe you got a headache with Cialis! It’s famous for eliminating that.

Viagra gives me incredible congestion and occasionally dizziness. It really does a number on me. And only vaguely helps erections. Decided it’s just not worth it. Time to just enjoy a good book and art museums.
