Because neither one of them was doing it with mens so it must be an "affair."

The term "affair" has been used for decades to refer to people who are lovers. It doesn't only denote cheating, though that's most often the context it's used in these days.

Weirdly, that TC debut album was a gigantic sales and critical hit yet it hasn’t gotten remastered or deluxe re-issue like so many other (and sometimes lesser) 80s hit records. Hmmm.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but Just had an epiphany! Telling Stories ( the song by Tracy Chapman) is about Alice Walker's Friendship and obsession with batshit insane British new age guru David Ike!

Alice even went to the UK to visit him and they started making a documentary together.

Telling Stories is clearly about her increasing paranoia and conspiracy theories about shapeshifting Aliens.
