This is the kind of uber-talented, geeky, seriously straight boy I always totally crush on. It's simply not fair.
This is the only musician named Josh Turner I've ever heard of.

Yeah. This is a different Josh Turner.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 4, 2019 1:33 AM |
Well if young Josh wants to go pro he's going to have to change his name.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 4, 2019 1:36 AM |
Get a better taste, OP. In both music and men.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 4, 2019 1:36 AM |
You're obviously not a musician, r4.

He's going by Joshua Lee Turner now to avoid confusion with the country singer with the same name. Here he is on a street corner in Vienna singing his recent song, Cross-Eyed Love, with Reina Del Cid. He's very talented guitar player and singer/songwriter.

Josh did a beautiful cover of Simon & Garfunkel's The Only Living Boy in New York.

Here's Josh doing a truly excellent cover of Tom Petty's Yer So Bad.

Perhaps OT, but this photo of Ben Gibbard while the tune plays is mucho sexy!
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 22, 2019 3:09 AM |
What was the point of putting that in this thread, r9?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 22, 2019 3:15 AM |
My point was that I understand what it is to crush on a geeky musician. Sorry.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 22, 2019 3:17 AM |
What is your damage OP. What is simply not fair? That he is straight? That you crush on straight boys. Because there are dozens of such boys, who are straight and gay, in every boho neighborhood in every city, and every college campus, and the gay versions fuck other boys. But not you. Because you're 100 years old.

Josh and his friend Chase Eagleson did a stunning duet cover of James Blake's Don't Miss It.

Technically flawless, but there's no soul behind it. Come back to me in twenty years when you've live a little, kid.

I like all-grown-up Josh Turner.
He can pluck my string anytime.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | February 3, 2020 4:06 AM |
He's my type. Seriously. keep your roided messes. I like em nerdy.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 15, 2020 2:47 AM |
Does he have any original material?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 15, 2020 2:52 AM |
I'll watch some of these other clips as I go along but I just wanted to thank you OP for exposing me to that video. Just so marvelous. Their harmony was lovely.

An entire album's worth, r22. Scroll down. Complete songs, too (not just :30 of each).

Tedious and twee.

From his recent solo album:

Trust us. We won’t be fighting you for that one.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 15, 2020 1:36 PM |
It's about the amazing music, and not whether you find him hot.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 15, 2020 4:44 PM |
I like both his music and his hotness, r28. Totally my type. Could not be more so.

Joshua Lee Turner has just released his second solo new album, Public Life. Available digitally and on CD. It may be even better than his first album.
You can preview the entire album at the linked video.

OP, I love this guy, been following him for ages.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 17, 2020 5:24 PM |
He needs to cover Roy Orbison. He was getting close with Tom but I’d like to see him do Roy songs.
And Buddy Holly.
