TREASURE, of course.
"Pandora" is one of the most perfect songs ever.

But my favorite Cocteau Twins song is "Hitherto," which was on an early EP and then the compilation, THE PINK OPAQUE.

I first heard Cocteau Twins in May 1985 on the campus radio station KANM at Texas A&M University.
"Ivo" hooked me immediately!

In the 80's I heard "Sugar Hiccup" on an alternative radio show around the time it came out and liked it. I later saw the ep Sunburst and Snowblind in a record store. I thought all the titles were clever, and the cover art was great. I bought it and liked all the songs. They seemed like an interesting band.
I still thought there were two female vocalists at that point, based on their name because I had no idea what they looked like. Later I saw some interviews in NME and stuff like that and realized it was one female vocalist and they played on stage with a reel-to-reel tape machine for drums. Their whole aesthetic seemed unusual to me. Like new age music for punks.
A year or so later Treasure came out and I saw it in the same record store. I didn't hear it at all, I just bought it based on the cover art and being intrigued. I took it home and put headphones on and played it and it blew me away.

I always liked The Pink Opaque, which is an old anthology from 1986 with tracks from eps and other projects. You should also get the double collection of their eps.

I found this on Youtube, never saw it before, from an old Dutch tv broadcast, the audio isn't quite synched, but it's one of my favorite songs.
