Cyrus Vance, Jr.

His name is resurfacing in regards to Epstein. He also has a history with the Trump children and Weinstein. Apparently questions arise surrounding the legality of some of his decisions with these folks.

Anyone have info. on him? Thoughts NYers?

by Anonymousreply 15July 13, 2019 1:58 PM

Like the Cuomo's the apple fell far from the tree. Cyrus Sr. was a mensch. Son is either willfully corrupt or compromised

by Anonymousreply 1July 13, 2019 3:08 AM

Yeah, always thought Cyrus Vance to be rather ethical.

What happened to Junior?

by Anonymousreply 2July 13, 2019 3:11 AM

Read the appalling argument made by the prosecutor for reduced sentencing for Epstein in New York that stunned the judge.

Jesus.

Cy Vance is one cheap whore.

He will let anyone off for as little as $10,000. He let off Harvey Weinstein and Deutsche Bank for a "donation". $1,000 - yes ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS and $10,000 for weinstein. Deutsche Bank laundered about $100 Million for the Mexican Drug cartels. Their fine was only about $2 million. And weinstein raped a lot of women. Not fucking bad

He let off ivanka and don jr for a $25,000 donation

Here's another case

A Doctor Admitted To Sexually Abusing Patients And Then Walked Free

Prosecutors told Robert A. Hadden’s patients his guilty plea was a win for victims, but the #MeToo movement has some questioning the Manhattan district attorney’s motives.

Why is the New York Times not reporting on this guy? He continues to skate. It's just incredulous.

by Anonymousreply 9July 13, 2019 4:10 AM

Follow the money

by Anonymousreply 10July 13, 2019 4:11 AM

Yes R9

What is going on? New Yorkers?

There has been a slew of ethical and legal issues surrounding this guy. And yet things are relatively quiet around him. Even on his Twitter page he's promoting rape kits as details of his bizarre sentencing label for Epstein are being revealed.

He was re-elected into office in 2016. Apparently unopposed.

Why is he not given further attention? Or being questioned regarding his practices?

Just found this on Twitter about Cy in relation to Trump's child rape accuser/

THANK YOU @TimOBrien for bringing up Katie Johnson’s rape lawsuit on @DeadlineWH — A suit that alleges @realDonaldTrump raped her at the age of 13, which was dropped four days before the election due to death threats.

She also begged Cy Vance to help her earlier that year

Vance was also involved in the controversial rape case involving Dominique Strauss-Kahn and a hotel maid in 2011.

He dropped the case even though evidence of Strauss-Kahn was found on the woman.

Since 2011, Strauss-Kahn has been accused of further sexual assault.

Vance seems very slimy. The Daily NEws or the NY Post ought to be ripping him to pieces, they ought to be up his ass . He ought to go to jail. At the very least he ought to be named in some civil law suits. Sue the Bastard and the government he represents.

by Anonymousreply 14July 13, 2019 1:31 PM

Is he the one who is heading up the Epstein case?
