Eric Swalwell

What a hunk? It seems like he came out of nowhere.

Is he a millennial?

by Anonymousreply 226December 10, 2020 8:58 AM

He looks retarded.

by Anonymousreply 1June 29, 2019 1:11 PM

He looks like Dennis Quaid. And that is not a hunk, more like a hick.

by Anonymousreply 2June 29, 2019 1:20 PM

that's not a hunk

by Anonymousreply 3June 29, 2019 1:26 PM

Young Dennis Quaid was gorgeous.

by Anonymousreply 4June 29, 2019 1:31 PM

Came out of nowhere and promptly u-turned right back to it.

by Anonymousreply 5June 29, 2019 2:01 PM

I think he is handsome, but he was awful at the debate.

by Anonymousreply 6June 29, 2019 2:03 PM

I want him inside me so bad šŸ˜ But tbh I love the dumb football jock type šŸ’Ŗ

by Anonymousreply 7June 29, 2019 2:03 PM

Why's his chin scarred up?

by Anonymousreply 8June 29, 2019 2:10 PM

Scat Queen

by Anonymousreply 9June 29, 2019 2:17 PM

Swallowell? Gays should love that name.

by Anonymousreply 10June 29, 2019 2:19 PM

This what, the fourth thread you've made about him OP?

by Anonymousreply 11June 29, 2019 2:42 PM

He looks at least 50. I donā€™t believe heā€™s a Millennial.

by Anonymousreply 12June 29, 2019 2:44 PM

He looks really old for his age. That happens when you are white, look like a used condom by the age of 30

by Anonymousreply 13June 29, 2019 2:45 PM

A hunk? On what planet?? He looks like he drools when he eats. He's a very odd looking fellow with a big block head.

by Anonymousreply 14June 29, 2019 2:45 PM

He is 38, so he is a young Gen Xer. We used to talk about his Presidential chances a lot around 2017 then he dropped out of the conversation.

He pretty much took the young-out-of-luck narrative away from Pete during the debate.

by Anonymousreply 15June 29, 2019 2:49 PM

He has a fat, long schlong and plump gonads.

by Anonymousreply 16June 29, 2019 2:51 PM

Iā€™m not sure why heā€™s running for President. He brings nothing to the table.

by Anonymousreply 17June 29, 2019 2:51 PM

Heā€™s appeared on cable news a lot.

by Anonymousreply 18June 29, 2019 2:53 PM

Before he announced his presidential run I found him a little too eager to hop in front of whatever camera was closest. He just seems way too thirsty for the spotlight. I am put off by him. He looks like he has mild BO too.

by Anonymousreply 19June 29, 2019 2:55 PM

He is holding a torch for Biden.

by Anonymousreply 20June 29, 2019 2:59 PM

Maybe he can win as a future Senator from California. The field is too crowded for the 2020 race for him to garner many real traction. He's very ambitious, and like some others, will attempt shortcuts.

by Anonymousreply 21June 29, 2019 3:00 PM

^any, not many

by Anonymousreply 22June 29, 2019 3:01 PM
I I found him a little too eager to hop in front of whatever camera was closest. He just seems way too thirsty for the spotlight.

Well, he does have something in common with Miss Lindzey.

by Anonymousreply 23June 29, 2019 3:06 PM

Swalwell, Harris, and Castro are probably the best vetted of the younger democrats with Swalwell being the most outgoing of the tree.

Love him.

by Anonymousreply 24June 29, 2019 3:11 PM

He's cute. His face is a little weird but ugly is a stretch.

by Anonymousreply 25June 29, 2019 3:17 PM

by Anonymousreply 26June 29, 2019 3:32 PM

I don't get it, but Rachel Maddow seems to like him. I think he's so beige.

by Anonymousreply 27June 29, 2019 3:32 PM

I think heā€™s more jaundice yellow.

There is something about how heā€™s used gun violence in schools to get attention for his career that I find disturbing. Chris Murphy from CT spends a lot of time talking about gun violence but you donā€™t see him grandstanding to further his career and it makes sense given his ties to Newtown. Swalwell seems opportunistic. And his like about his childā€™s diaper was distasteful on top of asking for praise for doing basic parent duty.

by Anonymousreply 30June 29, 2019 3:44 PM

Heā€™s average looking.

by Anonymousreply 31June 29, 2019 3:47 PM

He's got the body of Superman. His suit was bursting at the seams.

by Anonymousreply 32June 29, 2019 3:50 PM

That is a HARD 38. I would've guessed late 40s.

by Anonymousreply 33June 29, 2019 3:51 PM

He is HOT. He is handsome/ugly. HOT!!!!

by Anonymousreply 34June 29, 2019 3:55 PM

I donā€™t believe he has a muscle body. He seems doughy.

Are there any shirtless pics?

by Anonymousreply 35June 29, 2019 3:56 PM

He looks like the kind of guys who says

"I'm gonna NUT!! I'm gonna NUT!!"

He's HAWT!

by Anonymousreply 44June 29, 2019 4:42 PM

Heā€™s actually a smart guy. From Iowa originally. Mayor Pete stole his light.

by Anonymousreply 45June 29, 2019 4:55 PM

His eyes are too far apart. He should track down Uncle Joe's plastic surgeon.

by Anonymousreply 46June 29, 2019 5:00 PM

R37, Matt Damon? Uh, no. More like Jerry O'Connell.

by Anonymousreply 47June 29, 2019 5:28 PM

This guy is hot.

by Anonymousreply 48June 29, 2019 6:23 PM

He looks like a small town southern Baptist preacher who molest his daughter, beats his wife and whacks off in the baptismal pool so his cum is all over his congregation. Probably also goes to truck stop gloryholes to better understand temptations faced by his flock. He likes to whip the cum up to a vicious froth by repeatedly pushing it between his front teeth, goes to a Starbucks, and spits it onto a homely woman's latte and watches her drink it.

by Anonymousreply 49June 29, 2019 6:53 PM

by Anonymousreply 64June 29, 2019 11:47 PM

He got most of his points at the debate across via interruption -- though I guess you sorta have to if you're being ignored.

by Anonymousreply 65June 30, 2019 3:25 PM

Mouth Breather.

by Anonymousreply 66July 2, 2019 5:57 PM

Unlikely he could be nominated by California Dems for a statewide race, so it makes sense for this ambitious pol to run for president,

by Anonymousreply 67July 2, 2019 7:00 PM

Spit or swallow?

by Anonymousreply 68July 2, 2019 7:40 PM

Pure muscle.

by Anonymousreply 69July 2, 2019 7:44 PM

This man is not even close to hunk material.

by Anonymousreply 70July 2, 2019 7:51 PM

Perhaps if he had as much facial surgery as Biden or Ivanka, something could made of it. But as it is? Oh, heavens no!

by Anonymousreply 71July 2, 2019 8:56 PM

He's very good in Congress and serving as spokesperson for the criminal investigations against Trump. But he is not making traction as a presidential candidate. Why do so many think they have to run for president? We need people to run for Senate. This would not have applied to Swalwell since he's from California, where Kamala Harris and Diane Feinstein are already senators. But anyway, you get my point.

Same thing with Gov. Stephen Bullock, D-MT. He has been asked if he would consider running for Senate. He has no interest. He wants to run for president, and as it turns out, he did not qualify to be on the stage for the Dem debate. Yes, he says he was delayed entering the race because he was busy being governor and had to work on passing and then signing specific legislation. Okay, fine, but he still wasn't in the first debate.

by Anonymousreply 72July 2, 2019 9:34 PM

I agree with R72. Swalwell should consider a run for CA senate. At some point, Feinstein's seat will be vacated.

by Anonymousreply 73July 2, 2019 9:35 PM

Kamalaā€™s Senate seat will be vacated once she wins the Presidency.

by Anonymousreply 74July 2, 2019 10:34 PM

r74, gurl....just gurl.

by Anonymousreply 75July 2, 2019 10:43 PM

R74, or that, possibly, as well.

by Anonymousreply 76July 2, 2019 11:39 PM

I have to hand it to him. Unlike a lot of the candidates, he doesn't just go on softball shows like Maddow or Lemon. He goes into the lions den , like Tucker Carlso, and battles back. Gotta respect anyone who is willing to be challenged.

by Anonymousreply 77July 3, 2019 2:30 AM

I am watching the debate repeats... and there is no place on Earth where this guy could be considered remotely hot.

by Anonymousreply 78July 5, 2019 2:34 AM

I agree R78. After seeing him inaction during the debate, I had to walk away.

by Anonymousreply 79July 5, 2019 2:43 AM

No one with decent vision would think Eric Swalwell is remotely hot. He doesn't even give off sexy power vibes. No. Must be a troll who started this thread.

He's hot if you like his type.

by Anonymousreply 81July 5, 2019 4:03 AM

He's close. Sort of. But not really there.

by Anonymousreply 98July 6, 2019 10:22 PM

Eric Swalwell is the worst candidate of 25 people. Worse than De Blasio. His whole campaign is based on one liners he thinks are clever and will land a punch. But most of the time he embarrasses himself. Watch this speech at Iowa democratic convention. Watch it from 2:03 mark. He thought he landed a punch by saying " I will be bold...." . He pauses for a few seconds expecting applause but the audience laughs at his stupidity.

If one finds intelligence sexy, then Swalwell is a total fail.

by Anonymousreply 102July 6, 2019 10:41 PM

I always enjoyed his appearances on MSNBC and CNN speaking up for the liberals and against the deplorables.

But his Debate appearance was embarrassing. Trying way too hard and that comes off really bad compared to someone as effortless as Mayor Pete.

by Anonymousreply 121July 7, 2019 10:29 AM

He and Corey Booker need to withdraw from the Democratic primary race and run for their own seats again. We needs them in the House and Booker definitely in the Senate.

Swalwell is brilliant on the committees he serves.

by Anonymousreply 122July 7, 2019 10:58 AM

Hunny Eric got all caught up in appearing on TV for interviews about the Mueller investigation and the Russians. He would be talking about terrible shit and grinning. So happy to be there. From that experience, he prolly got fan mail and thought there would be a groundswell for him. But then he allowed more of his personality to come forth, and now he is shit on a stick. He needs to go back, drop out of the race and run for his seat in Congress. In 10-15 years, try again. Or not.

by Anonymousreply 123July 7, 2019 2:29 PM

I still say he looks like a former beefy muscle jock.

by Anonymousreply 124July 7, 2019 2:52 PM

He should be living in a Scandinavian country ...and be gay.

by Anonymousreply 126July 7, 2019 2:56 PM

Heā€™ll get into the Senate eventually.

But he thought has was gonna be a novelty in the Presidential race by virtue of being a 30-something. Unfortunately he got totally eclipsed by Mayor Pete.

by Anonymousreply 127July 7, 2019 4:23 PM

So that torch business didn't work out, I hear? He probably won't be at the second debate...

by Anonymousreply 131July 7, 2019 10:39 PM

How can Swalwell not be able to meet the criteria for the 2nd debate, but people like Marianne can?

Personally I think only the top 10 should be allowed to advance, and thatā€™s being generous.

by Anonymousreply 132July 7, 2019 10:43 PM

I admit the "nut" thing baffles me to this day.

by Anonymousreply 133July 7, 2019 11:13 PM

This will either inspire him to step it up or he'll quietly go back to the House. Hopefully is the former. We need Swalwell to wiped the floor with Bernie and that bitch De Blasio before he goes away.

I want part 2 of Pete vs. Eric. <3 <3

by Anonymousreply 134July 7, 2019 11:29 PM

There are only 8 actual candidates...and I'm being generous. Biden, Bernie, Elizabeth, Kamala, Booker, Buttigeig, Castro, and Klobuchar. And you can swap Klobuchar out and put Bennet in there because he is a moderate and he did well at the last debate.

by Anonymousreply 135July 8, 2019 12:22 AM

But Klobuchar is also a moderate?

by Anonymousreply 136July 8, 2019 12:31 AM

Bennet has no chance. Neither does Booker really.

And Bernie needs to be finished off ASAP. Warren doesnā€™t seem like sheā€™s aggressive enough to go after him...but she should, because sheā€™s the one that most needs his voters.

by Anonymousreply 137July 8, 2019 12:45 AM

Booker needs to stay in the Senate.

by Anonymousreply 138July 8, 2019 12:45 AM

by Anonymousreply 139July 8, 2019 12:54 AM
How can Swalwell not be able to meet the criteria for the 2nd debate, but people like Marianne can?

Because a lot of Republicans are supporting Marianne since they think she causes havoc in the debates.

There were several articles about it this week.

Swalwell is over.

by Anonymousreply 142July 8, 2019 1:34 AM

R127 I don't think he will get into the Senate. There are more popular people ahead of him.

The very handsome Xavier Becerra for one who obviously wants it. I also think Katie Porter will make a play for Senate too when Diane retires in 6 years. And she is very good at politics.

Oā€™Rourke is number 6, polling at 2.4%. He should be gone, along with everybody else behind him.

Time to cut the fat. 5 candidates is more than enough to choose from.

by Anonymousreply 150July 8, 2019 10:57 AM

Dropping out, only to be replaced by... what, Tom Steyer or Steve Bullock? Sigh.

by Anonymousreply 151July 8, 2019 12:27 PM

If Kamala is Vice President or President then someone can step in to her spot. I think Porter is good for Feinstein's seat.

by Anonymousreply 152July 8, 2019 2:06 PM

That's right, California might have two open seats in 2021.

by Anonymousreply 153July 8, 2019 2:12 PM

There are always more. The supply is endless.

Test

by Anonymousreply 155July 8, 2019 2:51 PM

I just saw this comment on Reddit:
He seems like a decent guy, but it was obvious to me that he sold himself out to another candidate to attack the top contenders. During his debate, he went at Biden, Pete, and Bernie, and it wasn't to elevate himself in the polls considering he's dropping out a week later.

How probable do you think it is that one of the candidates "hired" him to take out Biden and Bernie (and Pete)?

by Anonymousreply 156July 8, 2019 3:03 PM

A) Xavier Becerra hot? He has a paunch that he conceals with bloused up Tommy Bahama shirts. B) I am confused about the I'm gonna nut post. I'm gonna nut what? I need a direct object for more clarification.

by Anonymousreply 157July 8, 2019 4:00 PM

Becerra can have all the gut he can carry and still be hotter than Eric Swalwell.

Swalwell is just gross.

by Anonymousreply 158July 8, 2019 4:18 PM
ā€œI'm gonna nutā€: A saying used to express a tremendous amount of emotion positive or negative. Usually used in times of extreme joy or frustration. Not to be confused with ā€œI'm gonna bust a nut.ā€

R158, this is from the urban dictionary. I assume it must be derived from [italic] ā€œI'm gonna bust a nutā€, [/Italic] so I would not use the expression in front of my mother.

by Anonymousreply 159July 8, 2019 5:11 PM
Swalwell is expected to make the announcement at a 4 p.m. ET news conference at his campaign headquarters in California, concluding a short-lived bid for the Democratic nomination that failed to gain any traction.

He looks kinda hot in that image before the video starts playing.

I think he accomplished what he wanted to. He raised his profile and got some soundbites in, possibly setting himself up for a future Senate run.

by Anonymousreply 164July 8, 2019 7:38 PM

Gillibitch needs to go next.

by Anonymousreply 165July 8, 2019 7:43 PM

What R165 said. The fucking stupid broadcast hosts will refer to him as 'former Presidential candidate Eric Swalwell."

That's what this was about.

by Anonymousreply 166July 8, 2019 7:55 PM

r165 That, plus he created an image of Biden and Bernie as old and out of touch. Which I kinda appreciate.

by Anonymousreply 170July 8, 2019 10:18 PM

And after Booker, everyone of the "whoze dat".

by Anonymousreply 171July 8, 2019 10:54 PM

Gillibrand needs to go. Sheā€™s never even gotten to 1%. For a sitting Senator from New York... thatā€™s embarrassing. Leave now bitch.

by Anonymousreply 172July 8, 2019 11:01 PM

I can't believe Moulton didn't go first. WTH, Swalwell should have waited a couple of weeks more.

by Anonymousreply 173July 8, 2019 11:06 PM

How is Moulton still in when he won't even be in the second, but especially in the third debate?

by Anonymousreply 174July 8, 2019 11:07 PM

R174, Swalwell was about to be cut by the DNC from the qualification threshold for the 2nd debate.

by Anonymousreply 175July 8, 2019 11:07 PM

Next to go Beto!

by Anonymousreply 176July 8, 2019 11:17 PM

Beto, Booker, Gillibrand... which will go first?

Will Gillibrand blame sexism first, or will Booker blame racism first, or will Beto apologize for being a white male first?

by Anonymousreply 177July 8, 2019 11:32 PM

He should have washed his hair before dropping out and appearing before cameras.

by Anonymousreply 178July 9, 2019 12:07 AM
Beto, Booker, Gillibrand... which will go first?

None of them can go "first" because Swalwell has already done that.

I think Gillibrand will be the one to go next.

by Anonymousreply 183July 9, 2019 12:38 AM

Good riddance.

by Anonymousreply 184July 9, 2019 12:53 AM

I bet Mayor Pete is jumping in joy that Swalwell dropped out.

by Anonymousreply 190July 9, 2019 1:19 AM

r190 Oof, I hadn't even looked but you're right. Even the lone Seth supporter got red-tagged.

by Anonymousreply 191July 9, 2019 1:23 AM
Next in line [for senate] are Swalwell, Garcetti, Lieu, and Steyer for Senate.

This list is nonsensical. Garcetti has no statewide appeal. People hate LA douchebags everywhere but LA. And he is not generally thought of as competent even. Steyer is a joke in CA. The democrats who take his money openly mock him. He threatened to run for governor in 2018 and gave up immediately after getting some polling. Lieu is fine I guess, but I don't think most know who he is. And Swallwell has nothing much to offer. He's an average dem congressman, not exceptional in any way.

The real plausible candidates for the next open Senate seat are Becerra, Schiff, Porter, and Newsom as a very long shot. He'd had a chance if he wanted it but he wants to be governor for a long time.

by Anonymousreply 192July 9, 2019 2:07 AM

I still think Eric is hot and Iā€™d love to help him NUT. Also can we talk about Julian Castroā€™s sexy eyebrows?

by Anonymousreply 193July 9, 2019 2:33 AM

I guess "I'm younger than everyone else" isn't a winning campaign strategy?

by Anonymousreply 194July 9, 2019 2:45 AM
Also can we talk about Julian Castroā€™s sexy eyebrows?

Castro is hideous.

by Anonymousreply 195July 9, 2019 2:54 AM
The real plausible candidates for the next open Senate seat are Becerra, Schiff, Porter, and Newsom as a very long shot. He'd had a chance if he wanted it but he wants to be governor for a long time.

Schiff is not going to the Senate when he is already chair of the House Intelligence Committee . Schiff is the top Californian in congress after Pelosi. He is either gunning for Speaker of The House or the California governorship in 2022/2026.

Katie Porter is a freshman in a district not known for electing Democrats. The Dem party will not allow her to vacate when they barely flipped District 45. If she were in a bluer district, it might have been different.

Newsom is not downgrading to the Senate when he is the top Californian in the nation. He will only consider running for President in 2024 or 2028.

Becerra, Garcetti, and Swalwell are the likely contenders for the Senate. Swalwell has had a meteoric rise within the House, he's 38, and known enough in California to win a stateside election.

by Anonymousreply 196July 9, 2019 3:04 AM

Swallwell will probably get Kamalaā€™s Senate seat when she moves into the White House.

by Anonymousreply 197July 9, 2019 3:12 AM
Swalwell has had a meteoric rise within the House

Y'all are the same people that swore his presidential campaign would blow up, he lost a debate slot to Marianne Williamson. There is literally nothing Swallwell has done that any other random house democrat hasn't. Swalwell will definitely run for Dianne's seat, but he will lose.

Schiff would absolutely consider the senate. He likes to conduct himself with gravitas. He has never fit the house personality wise. Plus, a huge portion of Californians actually know him because of the Mulleur investigation. So he would start with an advantage.

Orange County has not historically elected democrats but it went very blue in 2016 and Porter is an incumbent now. She will likely win but a comfortable margin in 2024. She's done a great job, her constituents like her. She would start off the underdog on the list I mentioned for sure. But she is a skilled politician and a good fit for the state politically. She bills herself as a pragmatic progressive.

I agree 100% Senate is not Newsom's first choice. But who knows if he still wants to be president 8 years from now. And what scandals/bad PR moments will have happened. If he runs for Senate he probably wins, it'd be an easy race for him while president would be very hard for him (or anyone of course)

Garcetti has no chance at all

by Anonymousreply 198July 9, 2019 3:23 AM
Orange County has not historically elected democrats but it went very blue in 2016

And in 2018, the Republicans lost all their seats in Orange County for the first time since Franklin Roosevelt was President.

by Anonymousreply 199July 9, 2019 3:33 AM

I meant to say she will win by a comfortable margin in 2020 for Katie Porter.

In 2024 Dianne's seat opens up! I'll be sad to see her go. I'm much more liberal than her, but I respect her greatly

by Anonymousreply 200July 9, 2019 3:36 AM
Xavier is already 61, he may have waited too long.

61 years old is still young, fresh, and dewy for a California Senator.

by Anonymousreply 201July 9, 2019 4:03 AM

Sorry, DianNe.^

by Anonymousreply 202July 9, 2019 4:04 AM

I canā€™t stand Schiff. Heā€™s a Pelosi procrastinator.

by Anonymousreply 203July 9, 2019 4:34 AM

Quiet R203! Schiff is probably the best politician in the country. His committee will bring down Trump.

by Anonymousreply 204July 9, 2019 4:38 AM
The real plausible candidates for the next open Senate seat are Becerra, Schiff, Porter, and Newsom as a very long shot.

Kevin de Leon might probably throw his name in the mix as well.

by Anonymousreply 205July 9, 2019 4:41 AM

Kevin has maxed his statewide race opportunities. He is not allowed to run again.

by Anonymousreply 206July 9, 2019 4:44 AM

He will run again and lose. He's too milquetoast to win Statewide. In California you need personality.

by Anonymousreply 207July 9, 2019 4:50 AM

R207, well that's a shame. He's certainly qualified for the position and put up an admirable fight against a long-time incumbent Senator. And while I respect Feinstein's years of service, I don't know if I would categorize her as having a shining personality.

by Anonymousreply 208July 9, 2019 5:19 AM

R204 Schiff wonā€™t do shit. He doesnā€™t know how to use his power.

by Anonymousreply 209July 9, 2019 11:15 AM

Porter would make an awesome Senator. Sheā€™s whip-smart and sheā€™s got a great personality. So funny.

by Anonymousreply 210July 9, 2019 11:18 AM

R210, I'm sure Porter is great, and I'm glad she's part of the crew who helped make OC blue, but didn't she just get into office?

by Anonymousreply 211July 9, 2019 5:24 PM

R211 yes. It used to be true that only very experienced people ran for higher offices but that has changes drastically over the last decade. Now people with short records are favored because they have very few controversial votes to attack.

Most sucessful senate candidates of the last few cycles were all relatively green politicians.

by Anonymousreply 212July 9, 2019 6:11 PM

R212, I kinda wonder though if she's not better off helping keep that OC district blue for at least another election cycle?

by Anonymousreply 213July 10, 2019 1:35 AM
Heā€™s appeared on cable news a lot.

Now that heā€™s dropped out of the Presidential race...I see heā€™s gone right back to his full time job of appearing on MSNBC 17 times a day.

by Anonymousreply 214July 11, 2019 5:27 PM

Swalwell is technically a Gen Xer, but listening to what he says, he obviously identifies more as a millennial.

by Anonymousreply 215July 13, 2019 3:33 AM

Who was the guy who was Mayor of LA before Garcetti. He was Latino. Starts with a "V" I think.

by Anonymousreply 216July 13, 2019 4:46 AM

Antonio Villaraigosa. Tried to run for governor. Epic fail.

by Anonymousreply 217July 13, 2019 6:12 AM

Swalwell is a Millennial. No Xā€™ers are still in their 30s. And he acts just like a Millennial too.

by Anonymousreply 218July 14, 2019 6:40 AM

Swalwell is borderline. His birth year is technically Gen X though. Most sources place the beginning of the Millennial generation as 1981-1982. The oldest Millennials are around 38 years old.

by Anonymousreply 219July 14, 2019 6:52 AM

Swalwell is growing a beard, and I approve of that message.
