Who's the Boss - Season 1 Episode 4 "Mona Get's Pinned"

After having returned to school, sexpot grandmother Mona falls for one of her undergraduate classmates. Her new undergraduate boyfriend Jason is played by Dean Butler (Almanzo Wilder). Jason's parents protest their young son's relationship with Mona, despite their own wide age gap. Sweet young Jason gives Mona his fraternity pin. The episode concludes with Jason and his frat brothers serenading Mona; before they leave for a big dance. Butler was 28 at the time. He looked like the daddy on the young men who played the frat bros.

Dean Butler was super cute back then.

Do you have a particular question, OP?

Cute but too old to play Mona's young undergraduate boyfriend whose parents intervene.

Did I ask a question?

They have been airing reruns here in Canada and I'm surprised how well the show holds up. Great chemistry between Danza and Light.

But why did they make Light look like a frumpy 60 year old in some episodes?

R4 Are you joking??? The show is VERY dated.

Not only that, but Katherine Helmond was in her 50’s when the show began but she looked 60’s and she wasn’t all that attractive. It was laughable that she was supposed to be some sexpot that could have any guy she wanted, including a college kid. Give me a break!

Shirley Partridge also went back to college and became involved with a young man. There was also drama with his parents. Oh, and the episode was actually called "The Undergraduate".

Mona was an awful character. She treated Angela like garbage.

I hated Mona with the sunken, beady charcoal eyes.

Tony's ass was the only reason to watch that show.

R9 Actually an excellent reason to watch the show
