I used to love Tab and Pepsi light ( the1970s lemon flavored Pepsi) Also, a soda called Apple Crisp. We always drank diet. Our parents didn’t let us have junk food that much. If we got donuts on Sunday mornings we could only eat a half of one. My mom didn’t cook except on Sunday nights (tacos) so we kids would usually eat salads and sandwiches. We all had jobs at 14-15 so we were able to buy our own fast food and/or snacks at school. Our HS school had a donut store, a huge cafeteria and a candy store. Oh, Jello pudding pops were my favorite they don’t make those any more. Sorry for the novel.

Hueblein use to make a premixed drink called Brass Monkey and while I have never been much of a drinker, I absolutely loved that stuff. Yeah I know you can mix the ingredients yourself but it just isn't quite the same. Weird that my thing that I miss is an alcoholic drink, because I really don't drink at all anymore.
Anyone interested it is, One part dark rum, One part vodka, One part orange juice. They probably put some sugar in it also because it was pretty sweet.

Jello Pudding Pops, never met anyone who didn't like them, couldn't believe it when they stopped making them. Frozen pudding on a stick, what is not to love.

Stouffer's used to make these fucking AMAZING chicken stuffed pasta shells. They were the size of a fat baby's fist. This was in the early 80's before Stouffer's (along with Pepperidge Farm) went to the dark side and started throwing every chemical known to man in their products. (Yeah, I still buy some of their shit, don't judge). Apparently--after a hopeful google search that ended in tears--I'm not the only one trying to chase these things down. I did learn there are "copycat recipes" available, but the whole point is I didn't have to cook THEN and I don't want to cook NOW.

Whatever crack-like addictive chemicals they mixed in the filling had the desired effect on me.

Weaver Chicken Roll.
It was basically a salt lick with small amounts of chicken and I don't want to know what was in it, but it was amazing when melted on bread with cheese.

On-Cor used to make Swedish meatballs in the 80's and 90's that were so good I used to eat the family size meal on my own. They stopped making in 1999, still miss them to this day!

Malted Milk candy bars, only available in Canada. Also, frosted malts from The Malt Stop (RIP) in the food court. Where can one get a decent malt anymore?! Those Frosters from Wendy's are a sad, synethetic substitute.
Super Socco box drinks. Those were an early 80s staple in every kid's lunchbox, and very refreshing.

R28 yes, you wore your skinny knit tie and had a wine cooler with them. Talked about MTV and the Supergroup of the ‘80s, Asia.
Asia actually billed themselves as the Supergroup of the ‘80s. MTV picked up on it and called them that when introducing their first two videos.

Yeah, Stouffer's was really good for a long time. The discontinued product I'm missing most was called Cheesy Spaghetti Bake. Damn, it was good! In 2002, while moving into a new house, I picked up a few groceries, including what may well have been the last Cheesy Spaghetti Bake they ever made. Never saw another one again.

R54, the Stouffer's product I miss is their frozen chili, which came in a pouch you could cook in boiling water or in the microwave. It was decent, not great, chili but it was so easy to make as a quick meal. It also made the best chili dogs.

Fizzies.
They were these tablets that you dropped in water to make pseudo-soda.
They were already on the way out when I was a little kid, but we'd get them once in a while. Then they vanished.
According to Wikipedia, they came back in the 2000's and are still made, but I've never seen them anywhere.
(Actually I don't miss them. I probably wouldn't dream of drinking that shit nowadays...but I remember wanting them desperately when I was a little kid.)

That FAT guy from Curb Your Enthusiasm - Jeff, his real name is Jeff Garlin- he wrote a book about being fat and his struggles to lose weight. He talked about binging ( I can relate to that). One day I ate the poptarts RAW without even toasting them- he boasted. LAME. Poptarts are fully baked when you buy them at the store. It's like saying - I took a couple of slices of Wonderbread and ate them RAW with out toasting them.

Plenty of these foods are still around. I saw Dunkaroos the other day at Family Dollar, as I was buying bottled water.
There was this low-carb, Atkins-friendly protein drink that came in vanilla and in chocolate, in a silver, cardboard container. I loved the vanilla flavor. Anyway, drinking them made me and my ex boyfriend grow several inches taller in high school. We drank them because we both had eating disorders but they tasted great. I wonder if they're still around.

Quaker brand chewy granola bars, Almond Butterchip flavor. I would drink like 3 glasses of milk with one bar, they were delicious & complemented the milk so well. They were only around mid to late ‘80s
