How did I not know about this? Rex Harrison and Richard Burton play an elder gay couple. Richard Burton has his head wrapped up like Little Edie.

It's a sideways look at the sad and lonely ,twilight world of the homosexual. A curiosity and very depressing, it was obviously seen as a valid representation at the time, the original play starred Paul Scofield and Patrick Magee so it attracted pedegreed actors.
