Well hon, did happy hour at lunch today?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 13, 2019 9:59 PM |
Could you translate that into English, please?

Am I the only one who feels guilty when they come on I have to change the channel.

No I like the Shriner's kids, they seem so grateful for everything they have and for the help they are getting. Now the St Jude's commercials are depressing, understandably so, cancer can be a deadly disease, but still I like how hopeful the Shriner's commercials are.

I don’t feel guilty, but you shouldn’t either. I change the channel the second I see that cringeworthy Alex. Punch and delete.

Oh, get stuffed with this adowable blanket, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 14, 2019 2:02 AM |
OP, there's a difference between DL and other sites where people discuss things. Here, pointless bitchery is a virtue -- you don't have to like it or enjoy it or approve of it, but that is what we do here. If you don't want to participate (or at least lurk silently), please just go away.

Unfortunately, I don't think the Shriners hospital can help the OP and his handicapped language skills...
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 14, 2019 3:19 AM |
R8, handicapped language skills aside, OP writes like a frau. Perhaps a frau whose native language isn't English, but a frau all the same. Prissy, judgmental, humorless -- frauish to the core.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 18, 2019 5:25 PM |
I didn't know that Kin Shriner had kids.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 18, 2019 5:28 PM |
Don't be too harsh--the comma and semicolon keys on OP's laptop seem to be broken.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 18, 2019 5:29 PM |
Until recently the Shriners haven't tooted their own horn. . With 22 hospitals, including Mexico City and Montreal, they offer the same "No charge for treatment, travel, food, and hotels " as St. Jude. I donate to both each month,

Oh get over yourself OP, just because I find the commercial annoying doesn't mean that I don't have sympathy for the kids and I think what the Shriners do for the kids is great. There are things I love that I can find annoying in a commercial. I also love animals but hate those commercials for the humane society where they show sad abandoned puppies. Climb down from that cross you have mounted yourself on you are a saint.

* aren't a saint.

Same here.

R13, I would never give to the ASPCA or Humane Society. They have millions for TV commercials. Donate to your local shelter, my county has two.
