What color is a tennis ball?

Turns out people can't agree on the color of a tennis ball.

This reminds me of another thread poll: what color is Matt Damon's skin? Yellow or white? And does the (possible) yellowing involve the strain his body is under from those fem, bulbous ass cheeks?

by Anonymousreply 1June 11, 2019 1:42 PM

Lime green.

by Anonymousreply 2June 11, 2019 1:43 PM

Greenish yellow or yellowish green.

by Anonymousreply 3June 11, 2019 1:44 PM

Non-binary.

by Anonymousreply 4June 11, 2019 1:48 PM

Uh, it’s yellow, retards. This is nothing like the blue/white and gold dress.

by Anonymousreply 5June 11, 2019 1:51 PM

Chartreuse, bitches!

by Anonymousreply 6June 11, 2019 1:53 PM

All I know is that those balls are lesbians! All of them!

by Anonymousreply 8June 11, 2019 5:42 PM

I've always thought of them as yellow-green. I must be a genius!

by Anonymousreply 9June 11, 2019 5:44 PM

Please explain this post and how it resulted in a thread about tennis balls.

by Anonymousreply 11June 11, 2019 9:59 PM

I remember when they were a buff color, kinda between ivory and ecru. No other colors available.

by Anonymousreply 12June 11, 2019 10:01 PM

R6 is correct. Sheesh.

by Anonymousreply 13June 11, 2019 10:01 PM

This thread will tear Datalounge apart.

by Anonymousreply 14June 11, 2019 10:01 PM

Optic Yellow since 1972.

by Anonymousreply 15June 11, 2019 10:07 PM

DayGlo yellow, man.

by Anonymousreply 16June 11, 2019 10:08 PM

Neon green.

by Anonymousreply 17June 11, 2019 10:08 PM

I too remember when the balls were white, as were the attire, the shoes, the players, the fans and the boys I liked to diddle

“Optic yellow.” Pffft! As if such a color even exists. They are chartreuse, but tennis people couldn’t abide the name’s association with, let’s just say interior decorators and florists, if you catch my drift. Lord knows most sports fans consider tennis to be fey enough without chartreuse balls.

“Tennis, anyone?”

See you at the club.

by Anonymousreply 26June 12, 2019 5:25 PM

The people who say green are probably the same ones who pretended they thought the dress was white and that they only hear "yanny".

Optic yellow has always looked exactly like the Spring Green crayon to me, though I doubt it does to most people.

This is the photo on an article asking why tennis balls are yellow, and it doesn't look the least bit yellow to me.

To me, that's yellow [italic]heading towards[/italic] green, r40, but definitely, clearly, still yellow.

Or are you seeing fuschia?
