She's got herself a talk show from 7-8 on Fox. On now. What do we think?
I cant bear looking at him out of drag,I just cant.

Is he too lazy to drag it up?

What's wrong with his face? Looks like some queen scratched the hell out of it.

I missed it today. Thanks for reminding me to DVR it.

He had the Property Brothers on today. He gave them a twin test (which they flunked) and then he had them walk down the runway, three abreast. Woulda looked better if Ru was in drag.

Does anyone remember his talk show from years ago on VH1?
I haven't seen the new show...I feel like he's spreading himself a bit too thin, and celebrity talk shows are a dime a dozen these days. Don't really see the point.

Ru was fabulous back then. She wants to be the one drag queen who's interesting in and out of drag, and for her percentage of the market she's succeeded in a major way. I happen to like her in drag because she always looks so fierce. The Property Brothers made a big deal out of giving some couple $5,000 to redo their home. They showed the "before" pics of their house and honey $5,000 might buy a couple of big appliances.

He's having on Adam Rippon and Paula Abdul tonight. Not exactly getting A-listers, is he? Meh...

Fail! He should’ve been in drag.

Ru and Kenny chesney look like turtle heads. 🐢🐢🐢

He'll be lucky to get a second season. Ru doesn't have appeal outside of Drag Race, which is why all of his other projects have failed.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 11, 2019 4:26 PM |
He doesn't even have a FIRST season yet. This is just a three-week tryout.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 11, 2019 4:26 PM |
Thanks, OP. I didn't even know about this. Will check it out tonight.

not interested

R6, that show was subversive and fabulous. I liked RuPaul Charles (not in drag) in BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER, and that's it.

I'm in NYC where it airs at 7 PM. This seems like an afternoon show so I'm not sure how it will fare in the evening.
I caught the Property Brothers segment. They're really boring, fine, but Ru couldn't make them interesting. The dumb twin quiz was pointless. And the segment with the audience member with the shitty apartment decor was really weird. "I travel a lot, I have a son in Chicago, blah blah blah" and Ru pretty much says, "Enough!" and hands him a gift certificate for $5000. It was very weird and pointless.
It's nice that Ross is on the show to keep it super gay but I'm not sure if Ru can successfully interact with a range of guests. Good luck to him, though.

The fake cackle and self love bromides are a bit grating. Sidekicks Michelle and Ross are sidelined as a kind of Greek chorus. His podcast is entertaining, and he has some Netflix series queued up, in addition to RPDR. Why does he want more?

RuPaul has Paula Abdul on now on Fox.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 12, 2019 12:03 AM |
I’d like to watch it but it doesn’t seem to be airing in Atlanta.

RuPaul's husband is kee-yute! Lucky bitch. And he's 6'9." One tall drink of water, a rancher in Wyoming or someplace. They met at Limelight and have been together 24 years. Work it.

That poor girl in the audience looked so traumatized when she learned that she'd won tickets to see Paula Abdul perform. She couldn't even muster a weak smile for the camera. Yikes.

The husband with Ru around the time they met. He's from Finland or someplace like that. Name is Georges Lebar.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 12, 2019 2:01 AM |
Australia, not Finland

He doesn't have a fist season yet. This is a test like Fran Drescher had, three weeks, fifteen shows. If it scores, he'll get a full season. Fran's show flopped.
The show is also on WOR 9 in NY at 5:00pm
Here's the first episode

The Wendy WIlliams Show started out like the RuPaul Show: Summer test run on Fox stations. It was a huge hit.

I would be more interested if he did a talk show with regular people, the kind that was popular in the 90s. I'm sick of hearing about celebrities, and even less interested in the D-listers he's getting. Paula Abdul? Jack Osborne? Who cares?

It’s so bad. I tried to watch it again today, it is painful to watch.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 28, 2019 4:00 AM |
No. No no no no no.
The less he opens his mouth the better. He's been lucky enough to make it via an image, one persona. Singing and acting and writing books hasn't worked ... He's tolerable on DRAG RACE but truthfully that show's success is it's concept.
Personally, I don't need more of him.
