Matt Houston was on the air for three seasons. Lee Horsley was Matt Houston. Pamela Hensley was CJ Parsons. Did anyone thought of the show as being a terrible knock off of Magnum P.I.? What are your thoughts, anyone?
Did anyone ever think anything else?

I was in love with Lee horseless - HOTTT. Almost forgot about him. Thought he was much sexier than Tom Selleck.

Lee Horsley was a hunk and like myself, I'm sure he awakened many gays to their sexuality. I loved his body, that mustache.
I bought season one on DVD and while the show still remains entertaining, there's lots of cheeze.
Agree with r2. I found Horsley sexier than Tom Selleck. Magnum was the better show and Selleck the better actor, but Matt Houston seemed more fun.

The first shot of him on the show was a pan shot up his body from his feet to his face, and he was wearing chaps that emphasized his crotch. It was incredibly homoerotic.

Wow, I haven't thought of Lee Horsely in years!
Now excuse me while I go masturbate.

Wow I’d forgotten all about Matt Houston.

Another elder gay who preferred Horsley to Tom Selleck. I didn’t really watch either but Matt Houston would have easily won if I had. WHET Lee Horsley?

The last time I remember seeing Lee Horsley in anything r7 was a show called Bodies of Evidence, which turned out to be in the last of the series of George Clooney's TV gigs before he hit the big time with E.R.
He was in The Hateful Eight. Maybe Tarantino was a fan.
I didn't realize that Matt Houston only ran three seasons. I thought it ran much longer.

Yeah - the chaps caught the eye of this 12 year old gayling. Wasn’t a mustache fan but he was sexy and cute.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 10, 2019 11:38 PM |
Horsley reminded me more of Burt Reynolds than Tom Selleck. Loved him.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 10, 2019 11:39 PM |
He made me lose my breath, he was so hot!
I felt guilty wanting him more than Magnum in my gayling lust.

The mustache was shaved for Crossings, the 1986 miniseries co-starring Cheryl Ladd and Jane Seymour.

He looks like Mario Lopez there, r12

I enjoyed it but aren't most PI shows some type of knockoff?

He was not only sexy but very humorous - I was totally in love with him
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 11, 2019 2:23 AM |
Another vote for preferring Horsley on Matt Houston. He had charm to Selleck's smarm.

The other thing is I totally bought Horsley as a pussy hound who could take home two, three women to his jacuzzi and have a wild night.

HOT!

You knew he could ride'em cowboy. Sizzling.
I know someone who worked with hiim on a summer, stock show and she said he was a good guy.

It looks like he worked occasionally but was probably doing something else for much of his time, maybe touring in theater or rodeos.
He would have had a better career if he lived during he Westerns era. He was even on General Hospital for a while.

Much hotter with stache. Muchstache

I thought Lee Horsley and Pamela Hensley had great chemistry on the show. Prior to that, Pamela Hensley was on Buck Rogers.

Horsley was born in Muleshoe, Texas, the seat of Bailey County. He grew up in the Denver, Colorado, area, sang in a church choir and graduated from Englewood High School in 1973. Horsley married Stephanie Downer in 1980 and fathered a daughter, Amber, in 1981 and a son, Logan, in 1983. Horsley is an outdoorsman, horseman, rodeo participant, and western novelist.

I loved Pamela Hensley on Buck Rogers (with the very sexy and much hairy than Lee Horsley) with Gil Gerard. I knew I was gay watching Buck Rogers, but man did she have a rockin bod that was always shown to great effect!

Yes, r10, I always thought he was supposed to be the new Burt Reynolds, not the new Tom Selleck. I have always had a fetish for facial hair and was in my element back in the 70s/80s. And lately, thank God. Reynolds and Horsley were short, Selleck is tall. A big, tall bottom.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | June 12, 2019 12:03 AM |
No, Matt Houston was only green lighted because of the Magnum audience that ABC was after.
By 1982, Burt was already slowly sliding down in his career.
Tom Selleck and Magnum P.I. were the impetus for Matt Houston ever being on the air and stud Lee being hired.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | June 12, 2019 12:06 AM |
R40, presumably Horsley still is short.

He was no Fred Dryer.

He was, of course, sex on a stick, especially if you were into DIFLs. But I wasn't nearly as much into him as John Erik Hexum.

Bump.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | June 12, 2019 6:24 PM |
I'd love to rub Lee Horsley's bump.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 12, 2019 11:07 PM |
Is it just me or was there something incredibly erotic about Horsley's less than perfectly toned torso? And that beautiful skin!
I somehow find it hotter than many more muscular bodies though maybe that's my nostalgia for the 1970s/80s.

I went to school with Lee ( Junior High, High School, and even College). Lee is really a great man. I am 5'11" and Lee is taller than I am. Lee is also cut, as I said we went to school together so I saw him in the showers. Nice size dick and balls!

He was the best part of The Sword and the Sorcerer. Yeah Talon!
I never understood why this movie never had a sequel.
