Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate

OK--I know it's supposed to be for iced coffee ... but can you use the concentrate to make hot coffee as well? It seems like it would be better than instant coffee.

Yes, it makes great hot coffee, just add the very hot water.

I've tried a few different brands of bottled cold brew and didn't think they tasted much better than instant. It's so easy to make your own cold brew, anyway, just throw some coffee in a jar with cold water and let it sit for about 12 hours and strain. Done.

So why do people buy it? I assume if you make your own at least you have a larger selection of coffee brands and types to work with.
