Considering Robin Williams performance as an animated Genie, I don't see how this can possibly compare.

Walt Disney made two remakes in a single year, 1960, when [italic]Swiss Family Robinson[/italic] (previously filmed in 1940 by RKO) and [italic]Pollyanna[/italic] (previously filmed as a silent Mary Pickford movie) came out. Its OK. Will Smith powers it with his star quality and the audience I saw it with loved it. The two leads are very bland however. I think it will be a hit but not massive as musicals don't really do blockbuster numbers, especially in the US.
