Really R1? She's tall (5'10") but I've always thought she was very feminine looking. She has soft, cherubic features.

She was very good in The Leftovers but she's not great in Harlots. Her accent shows through which is disappointing.

She is beautiful--even prettier than her mother. I know she apparently had a DNA test done proving that Steven was her father, but I've always thought she also resembled Todd Rundgren, who acted the role of her father in her early life. They have similar bone structures--both long faces and prominent foreheads. Steven does too, though, and when you look at young photos of him, the resemblance is definitely there, so it's a moot point.

Here's Todd and Bebe Buell, with an infant Liv. I've always wondered why/how she came to realize/know Steven was her biological father. We know that Bebe was with Todd when Liv was born, and his surname was on her birth certificate, so the assumption was that he was the father. Obviously Bebe was getting around during this time and at some point was fucking Steven, but who really knows? It's an odd one because I can see likenesses in Todd and Steven when I look at pictures of her--but my instincts have always pointed to Todd being her bio dad.

Next to a real woman, Liv's huge man head is very noticeable. She's not beautiful. She reminds me of a young Arnold Schwarzenegger.

In some pics she reminds me of Patricia Arquette.

I've worked with professional actors and models all my life, and have had both jobs, myself. There are shots in STEALING BEAUTY (1996) where, even to my jaded eyes, I thought, "Okay, this is the most naturally beautiful girl I have ever seen."

Liv doesn't seem mentally challenged to me at all; she seems thoughtful and reasonably intelligent, although her lack of a formal education really shows in long-form interviews like the one she did at Oxford Union. It seems the only adjective she can pull from her brain to describe things is "interesting." Even still, she seems like one of the nicest people on earth, and I don't think it's phony at all.

I used to live on the same block as Liv in the West Village. We would say hello to each other on the street after a while since it was clear we both lived there, but nothing more, and she was always very nice.

Then we ran into each other at a party and realized we had a mutual friend in common. After that we would stop and actually have a conversation on the street with each other.

While not intellectual, she’s also not dumb by any means and has a certain level of sophistication and knowledge about a fairly wide range of things simply as a result of the life she has led and everything she’s been exposed to such as working with Bertolucci, etc.

Anyway, she really is a lovely and very unpretentious person. I saw her interact with fans a few times as well and she was genuinely friendly with them, never made snarky comments after they left, etc.

I basically agree - Liv Tyler was utterly beautiful, but not really an actress by nature. She's too lax. There's a famous performer in the 19th century who said (and I'm misquoting), "Every actress needs a bit of the gutter in her."
